D. LOADINGS

1) Dead Load

Consist of Weight of Tower structure including antenna, ladder and appurtenances.

2) Wind Load

Calculated according to TIA / EIA = 222 –G Standard: Structural Standard for Steel
Antenna Towers and Antenna Supporting Structures.

The basic wind speed is based on peak gust velocity averaged over a short time interval
of 3 second (3 second gust) to withstand with the following Myanmar standard
regional basic wind speed:

1. 130 km/h
2. 160 km/h
3. 200 km/h
4. 225 km/h

3) Seismic Load

Calculated according to TIA / EIA = 222 –G Standard: Structural Standard for Steel
Antenna Towers and Antenna Supporting Structures

The maximum accelerations Ss = 2.25 and S1 = 0.9 with the following Myanmar
standard regional.

4) Antennas Load

Tower Structure considered to be able to support the antennas load as per

following configuration (distributed):

Table. 1: Antenna Configuration and Total loading Area (see attached reference schematics)

On column “Antenna Config” on table above.:

o Tower design and analysis shall be consider antennas loads are included force
coefficient (CA)
o Type and shape of antenna

 RF antenna: “FLAT PANEL”

 MW dish antenna: “WITH CYLINDRICAL SHROUD”

E. DESIGN CONDITIONS AND TOLERANCES

1. Allowable Stress Ratio = 1 (calculated on basic wind speed condition refer to its regional
area)
2. Allowable Twist = 0.5 degree (in operational wind speed condition – 70% of basic wind
speed)
3. Allowable Sway = 0.5 degree (in operational wind speed condition – 70% of basic wind
speed)
4. Allowable Horizontal Displacement = H/200 ( H= Tower Height, in operational wind
speed condition – 70% of basic wind speed)

F. TOWER EQUIPMENT AND ACCESORIES

 All parts including the tower accessories shall be made of hot dip galvanized steel – min
75 micron thickness.
 All nuts, bolts, washers shall be made of hot dip galvanized steel and meet the
requirement as of structural needs.
