I am pleased to inform you that the Faculty of Law, Jagannath University is going to
publish Jagannath University Journal of Law, Volume I, Issue II, 2013. Research-based
articles on law related issues are invited for publication in the Journal.
You are cordially requested to circulate this invitation along with the enclosed guidelines among
your colleagues.

Manuscripts should be composed in Times New Roman with 12 font size and should be
double spaced with at least 1-inch margin on all sides.
Hard copies of the manuscript should be submitted with single sided print.
Manuscripts should be preferably within 4000 words (excluding footnotes) and shall be
in English.
In case of joint authorship, there shall not be more than three authors.
An author can submit one individual article and one joint article for publication in the
same issue.
Reference Style:
Book (two or three authors): List authors in the same order they are listed on the title
page, not alphabetically. For example: Staven D. Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner,
Superfreakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes, and Why Suicide Bombers
Should Buy Life Insurance (New York: William Morrow, 2009), 35.
Book (more than three authors): Use the first author listed on the title page, followed
by ‘and others’/ et al. For example: Andrew Gelman, et al, Red State, Blue State, Rich
State, Poor State: Why American Vote the Way They Do. (Princeton: Princeton
University Prss, 2008), 128-9.
Article from an academic journal: Tom Buchanan, ‘Between Marx and Coca-Cola: Youth

Dear Sir/Madam
The undersigned has the pleasure to inform you that you have been nominated to act as a
reviewer of the above-mentioned article which is attached herewith. You are earnestly requested
to review and return it with your comments to the undersigned as soon as possible.
To review the article the following points may kindly be looked into:
1. Jagannath University Journal of Law is an academic research journal. The article under
review should be original contribution to the knowledge and a lack of originality will
connote that the article is not suitable for publication in the journal.
2. The article must contain: (a) abstract (b) introduction (c) analytical discussion (d)
conclusion and (e) notes and references.
3. If you like to recommend for improvement of the article, you may kindly do so in your
report.
4. If the article is not recommended for publication, you are requested to kindly mention the
reasons for rejection.
A token honorarium of TK 1000/- will be paid for each article which you would review. You are
requested to send back the enclosed bill form duly filled in and signed on revenue stamped.
