Existen tres dimensiones para determinar la eciencia de un equilibrio:
1 Eciencia productiva
Debe producirse la cantidad que determinada por la igualdad entre
benecio marginal social y costo marginal social.
2 Eciencia en costos
Se debe minimizar el costo de oportunidad de la producción.
3 Eciencia en la asignación
La producción es distribuida entre aquellos que están dispuestos a
pagar más por el bien.
