ANNEXURE TO FORM-EXA

BEFORE FILLING UP FORM-EXA STUDENTS ARE ADVISED TO GO THROUGH THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS

I. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
A. FOR CANDIDATES OPTING FOR HINDI AS MEDIUM OF EXAMIANTION
1. Option must be exercised for all papers of the group/module except Business Communication paper of Foundation Programme. No option shall be granted for
individual paper(s)
2. An Option once exercised is irrevocable for that particular session of examination
3. The answer book of such candidates who write some of the papers/answers in one medium and some in other medium are liable to be cancelled without any notice.
4. If a student writes his answers in Hindi Medium without exercising such option, he/she may not be given credit for his/her answer(s)
B. FOR AVAILING EXEMPTIONS
The student must attach the photocopy of the letter issued by the Institute in case of exemption already granted to him/her, failing which exemption will not be allowed for
the said examination
1. In case the student wants to apply for exemption(s), he must ensure that attested copies of mark-sheet of all parts / semesters of the degree examination on the basis
of which he/ she has applied for paper wise exemption must be attached with the examination form along with the exemption fee @ Rs. 100/- per paper falling
which exemption will not be granted in the said examination.
2. Photocopy of the mark-sheet for availing paper wise paperwise exemption on the basis of securing 60% or more marks in the earlier examinations of the Institute
must be attached with the examination forms. Student must note that in case the above documents are not submitted along with the enrolment/examination form, no
paperwise exemption/ benefit will be granted for the said examination*
 All enclosures should be stapled in one bunch and clipped with the application. Please mention your Registration No., Name, Centre, Stage, Group, and Application
Form No., on the First page of the bunch.
C. ISSUE OF RAIL CONCESSION CERTIFICATE
(i) Rail concession certificate are issued only for appearing in the Company Secretaries examination and not for any other purpose. They hold good during the period of
examination*.
(ii) Rail Travel Concession is not allowed for performing local journey for any purpose
(iii) Rail concession certificate are issued from the place of residence/duty to the nearest examination centre and vice-versa.
(iv) Application for rail concession certificates should be received in the Institute at least 30 days before the commencement of the examination.
(v) Rail Concession Certificates are not issued to the students:
 Who are in full time employment ; and/or
 Who are above the age of 25 years.
Where the examination centre if situated at the place of residence/duty.
D. LAST DATE
Last date for receipt of enrolment application forms in the institute is:
(i) 25th March (with late fee of Rs. 100/- 9th April) for June examination.
(ii) 25th September (with late fee of Rs. 100/-. 10th October) for December examination.

E. EXAMINATION FEE
Foundation Programme Rs. 875/- (lum sum)
Executive Programme Rs. 900/- (Per module)
Final / Professional Programme Rs. 750/- (per module
 For appearing from overseas Dubai Centre, a student s required to remit surcharge of US$100 in addition to the examination fee.
No other remittance/query/letter should be clubbed / attached with the examination fee / application.
F. MODE OF PAYMENT

All fees are to be remitted by way of crossed Demand Draft (s) Drawn in favour of “ The instate Institute of Company Secretaries of
India” payable at New Delhi. Please note that Cheques (even At par Cheques) are not accepted.
In case the amount is lying at credit, original letter issued by the Institute showing the credit balance must be attached, for adjustment towards the examination fee.”
Please note that once an application for appearing in the examination is accepted by the Institute, no part of the fee is refunded or adjusted towards the next examination,
under any circumstances.
II. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
 The Examination Applications are processed through ‘scanning method’ and the information filled in by the students with regard to the Group/ Module, Medium,
Syllabus, Examination Centre, Exemptions sought etc. are captured electronically from the ‘Codes’ relevant to each parameter. Even minute errors on the part of the
students in filling up the application form may lead to misrepresentation of facts. All students are, therefore, are advised to be extremely careful while filling up the
various Codes and writing them legibly without any scope for confusion.
 Students who are desirous of switchover to the New Syllabus are required to sign the undertaking on the top left-hand side of the examination application form. No
students would be allowed the benefit of switchover unless the said undertaking is duly signed by them. Once switched over to the New Syllabus, no student would be
allowed to revert to old syllabus.
 Notwithstanding the reason for any of the mistakes that might have crept into the Admit Card, the Institute would make all efforts to rectify the same provided the same
are brought to our notice atleast 15 days before commencement of the Examinations. All students are, therefore, advised to invariably check up the details of the Admit
Card which are usually uploaded to the website of the Institute about one month before commencement of the Examinations.
 In case of non-receipt of the Admit Card sent by post to the students, the Admit Card Extracts as downloaded from the Institute’s website www.icsi.in (alongwith the
student Identity Card) is equally valid for appearing in the Examinations.
 Students whose Registration is valid upto August , 2010, are eligible to appear in December , 2010 Examination

6. Admit Card Extracts will be uploaded on the website www.icsi.in . While the Original Admit Cards are sent by post to all eligible 15th November ,2010
candidates, in case of non-receipt of the same at their end due to loss in transit, etc., they may download/ print the Admit Card Extracts onwards
available on the website. The said Admit Card Extracts when taken alongwith the Student Identity Card (Green Coloured) will be
equally valid for appearing in the Examinations. The students need not contact/ visit the Institute for issue of Duplicate Admit Card in
case there is no discrepancy in the Online Admit Card Extracts as such.
7. Original Admit Cards will be dispatched by post to all eligible Candidates by 30th November ,2010
8. Last date for all type changes viz; Change of Centre / Medium/Group / Module / Syllabus is [Students’ requests should reach us 10th December ,2010
before 15 days of commencement of examination]. Students are specifically advised to avoid contacting the Institute for effecting
changes at the eleventh hour by strictly following the instructions given at Sl.No.2,3 & 4 above.
