HOW TO CHANGE
CHECK AISG AISG CABLE
CABLE 1. SET ALDPWRSW to OFF
FUNCTIONALITY 2. Replace AISG cable.
3. SET ALDPWRSW to ON

USE MULTIMETER TO CHECK THE CONNECTIVITY OF EACH PIN

PINS 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 SHORTED = CABLE is OK
If one or more of the PINS 1, 3, 5, 6, 7OPEN = CABLE is defective
HOW TO CHANGE/REMOVE RCU
1. RMV RET and then SCN ALD to verify the ALD is removed
2. MOD ANTENNAPORT to OFF.
3. Remove RCU device and cable.
4. Install RCU device and cable.
5. MOD ANTENNAPORT to ON.
6. SCN ALD to query successful replacement..
7. ADD RET to configure the new RCU. LST RET to view if configured.
8. DLD RETCFGDATA to load the configuration of RCU if new RCU is used.

ALDCFG is located on the NodeB software.

HOW TO CHANGE SMBT/TMA

1. BLK BRD ( N0A=SN 0, N2A=SN 2, N4A-SN 4)

2. MOD TXBRANCH to OFF. MOD ANTENNAPORT to OFF.
3. Remove SMBT/TMA devices and cables.
4. Install SMBT/TMA devices and cables.
5. MOD TXBRANCH to ON. MOD ANTENNAPORT to ON.
6. UBL BRD.
7. SCN ALD to query successful replacement.
8. ADD TMA to configure new TMA device.
9. LST TMA to query successful configuration.
1. If the RCU’s serial number is null or empty after
executing the SCN ALD command, first try to
reconfigure or add the RCU’s serial number
thru ADD RET command and manually encoding the
serial number and vendor code, before changing the
RCU device.
2. Try to remove configured device/s first and then
reconfigure/add the device/s after.

4. For ALD Current Out of Range Alarm, first
check any loosed connections on ALD line
especially the connectors from RF unit-
Jumper cable to Jumper-Feeder connectors,

8. For TMA set-up, If you cannot configure the device on normal Ant Port,
try to configure the device on the other Ant Port. Example, Port 0A to 1A,
Port 2A to 3A and Port 4A to 5A, which means you have to set the
ALDPWRSW of Port 0A to OFF and turn Port 1A to ON before you
can configure the RCU or TMA to port 1A.

9. If you faced system busy on running the
following commands, it may be because other related
command is running or a HW problem on
SMBT or RCU.
1. DSP RET OR TMA
2. DSP RETTILT
3. SCN ALD

Make sure no other command is running or take a little

time before running the next related command, like,
After ADD RET, don’t immediately run LST RET or DSP
RETTILT.
