AIMS
By the end of the lesson the ss will be able to:
-to review and consolidate the main words and structures learnt so far
-to develop reading, speaking, writing, listening skills.
-to encourage students to learn the English language through dialogues, conversation;
Activity 1: Lead-in
Aim:
-to introduce the pupils in the topic;
Procedure: The teacher tells the pupils that they will revise the vocabulary learnt so far.
The teacher plays a song to the pupils and asks them to sing along while miming the actions
mentioned in the song. The teacher demonstrate herself.
Next they are going to play a game ‘’Simon says” The teacher gives the commands. The pupils
mime the commands.
e.g. T. ”Simon says: Stand up!”
Class: (pupils stand up) (open your book, sit down, close your book, sing, clap your hands,
stamp your feet)

Activity 2: Presentation&Practice
Aim:
-to review and consolidate school items
Procedure: The teacher displays slips of papers on her desk. The teacher invites the pupils to
come to the front and explains that she/ he should choose one, say the word and then put it next
to the corresponding item in the classroom. The pupils do this in turn until all the slips have been
used.
Timing:8 min

Activity 3: Practice
Aim:
-to develop and improve the pupils’ listening, reading and pronunciation skills
Procedure: the teacher says to the pupils that they can talk about their family.
T: ‘’ We can talk about our family: mum, dad,………..?
The pupils continue. The teacher praises the pupils and then she pins a big sheet of white papers
on the flipchart. There are pictures and words with scrambled letters. The pupils look at the
pictures and the letters and write the correct words on the flipchart. The teacher asks the rest of
the class if the words are correct and if they are not she invites other pupils to correct them.

Activity 4: Practice
Aim:
-to develop listening, reading, writing, speaking skills
Procedure: The teacher plays the recording. The pupils listen and follow the lines and sing
along. The teacher shows some flashcard to the pupils in order to recognize ( identify) the jobs.
(policeman, milkman, fireman, postman, teacher, singer)
The teacher gives to the pupils a handout. The pupils have to complete the sentences with the
jobs. After that the teacher asks them to read the sentences and corrects them if necessary.

Activity 5: Production
Aim:
- to review the vocabulary
Procedure: T divides the pupils in groups; each group receives a handout with a word search.
They have to find 4 family members and 6 jobs. The teacher makes error corrections and
provides additional explanations, where necessary.
