Me: Yes, there is option. But the option is very limited. (She agreed)
Ext-1: As u want to join MFA, what is good about u regarding English?
Me: Answered (comprising experience of studying English Literature in CU,
English debate, medium of instruction of Sociology, DU was English and my
Dept result).
Ext-1: What did u study at English, CU? (I was waiting for it smile emoticon)
Me: Answered with literary works including Arms and the Man, Animal Firm
etc.

Me: Discussed.

question. Although i was prepared to face this unpleasant question. All of u
who r belongs to a job are suggested to take proper preparation in this regard.

UK= these 3 states and Ireland.

i was puzzled at by imagining the map and answer south Ireland. But it was
wrong.
Then Chairman smiled and told me that it was north.

I started the answer. When i told IS declared that they adopted Caliphate.

Ques: What are the documents needed for viva?
Ans: The minimum requirements:

SSC/HSC/Honors original certificates.
SSC/HSC/Honors certificates' attested Photocopy – 2 copies each.
BPSC Form 1 – 2 copies
BPSC Form 2 – 1 copy
Police verification form – 2 copies
Written Admit – 1 copy
Viva Card – Original
You will need additional documents depending on your FF status/Current job
status/Appeared status etc.
Ques: How the documents should be arranged?
Ans: You will have to make 3 sets.

Police verification form (1 copy) + 1 set attested certificate.
Written Admit + Viva Admit + All the original certificates
BPSC Form 2 + BPSC Form 1 (2 copies) + 1 set attested certificate + Police
Verification Form (1 copy).
Don’t staple them, rather use james clip. PS to the Board Chairman will
arrange at his convenience and staple them.
Ques: Where can I get the Forms?

Ques: I have lost my BPSC Form -1/Applicant's Copy. Also I don't remember
my User ID/Password. What do I do ?
Ans: If you have your User Id and Password, you can download the BPSC
Form -1/ Applicant's Copy from here :

But as you don't remember your User Id/Password, you will have to recover
them. There is option in the above mentioned page named "Recover User ID"
and "Recover Password". By providing your Father's Name and Mobile No, you
can recover your User ID and Password.
Ques: What to remember while filling up the forms?
Ans: Don’t leave any field blank which you were supposed to fill. If the field is
not applicable for you, put “েযাজ নয়”. You should write your Registration no on
the attested copies of the certificates and also on the police verification forms.
But you can leave these writings for the time being. At the time of submission,
they will help you out with these.
Ques: What sort of file should I carry to bring the documents?
Ans. Whatever suits you. It doesn’t really matter. You cannot take the file with
you in the VIVA board. All your docs will be delivered to the board before you
go in. You will have to go empty handed.
Ques: When should I reach PSC on the viva date?
Ans: Within 9:30 am, as mentioned in the viva card.
Ques: Should I take my mobile with me?
Ans. You should not. You cannot take it inside PSC building. But there will be
provision to leave the mobile in the gate.
Q: How the candidates will be sent to separate boards?
Ans: After you enter into PSC building, you will have to wait in the hall room in
the ground floor. When everybody is inside, a range of rolls will be called and
they will be sent to a board. Again another range will be called and sent to
another board.
Q: How/when can I know the name of the board (name of the board
chairman)?
Ans: When you are sent to a board, you are usually sent to a PSC member’s
office. You will wait in his/her PS’s room and go for VIVA in his/her room. The
name is written on the door. So, as soon as you are in front of his/her office,
you will know the name of the board.
Q: What documents will be there infront of the board?
Ans: The board will be given BPSC Form - 2 which you submitted before
written and all your original certificates. I don’t think anything else is delivered
to the board. BPSC Form - 2 which you will take with you, will be kept in the
file and it won’t go in.
<<<<<<<<<<<<To Wrap Up : A Walkthrough>>>>>>>>>>>>>
1. You reach PSC within 9:30 am and stay in the campus.
2. After 9:30 am, you will be asked to go in showing your viva card. There is
usually a queue and you cannot take your mobile and bag with you. Only file is
allowed. If you have Bag/Mobile, you will have to deposit them in the
reception.
3. After entering, you will wait in a hall in the ground floor. Different boards
will send their roll no allocations and a man from the front will announce them.
There will be a person from each board who will take you there.
4. You will wait in the PS’s room outside of the VIVA board. The PS will call one
by one and take all your documents. If you have any confusion at all, Take his
help.
5. The PS will deliver 4/5 persons’ documents to the viva board at a time and
the board will start calling by ringing the bell.
6. When your turn comes, go in empty handed. Don’t take anything else but
your knowledge with you. Do whatever you need to do. At the time of coming
out, take your original certificates from the board.
7. That’s all. You have done your best, there’s nothing else left for you to do.
Leave PSC premises.
8. GET A LIFE!
N.B: All the infos are from my personal experience. I am putting it here to give
you an idea about the VIVA. Your reality might not comply with my experience.

–I told about myself, my educational background and my family.
What is your first choice?

–BCS Foreign Affairs
Suppose there is a global opportunity for you. You are leading a delegation to
attract foreign investment in Bangladesh. How will you attract them to invest
in Bangladesh, especially in power sector?
– I answered quite well. I tried to say all positive things about investing in
Bangladesh- like huge natural resources, especially gas. Here chairman sir
interrupted me by saying “the gas available in Bangladesh cannot even fulfill
our demand. So, how should we supply them?” I said, ‘‘though there is scarcity
of gas, we have the chances of discovering new sources”. I also gave an
example here. Please note here that when I was giving a piece of information,
he asked me another question related to it. When I said something about a
possibility, he interrupted me asking about a problem connected to it. Thus my
answer on the topic took a long time to finish.
Where is Afghanistan exactly located?

– I answered
How many countries have borders with Afghanistan?

– Though I answered, I could not do it exactly. Anyway, I escaped.
Then he told me to write about the Mediterranean Sea.

– I wrote a few lines. But it was not too well. Perhaps, I spelt the word
wrongly.
Do you know about Cyprus?

– Yes sir.
Where is it exactly located? (They wanted to know which countries Cyprus is
surrounded by)
– I answered
Then one of the members asked me “One of our South-Asian countries faced
military coup several times. What is the name of the country?”
– I answered.
What are the reasons behind it?

– I answered and faced a lot of counter questions.
(There I had to answer several questions related to Indian sub-continent and
the events of one-eleven of Bangladesh)
I did really well while answering the two big questions. Most of the questions
they asked resulted from the answers I gave.
