b. How did this project change your view of the business you are proposing it with, using SAP
Business One?

In doing this project, I learned that the dunning feature exists. Although this feature is confusing
and I have to work out how it functions, it ultimately serves as a steeping tool towards the goal that this
system will provide convenience for everyone involved: the customers and employees. I am able to
review the different functions as well that would serve to be useful in this system.

The dunning feature determines the accounts and items that must be dunned, the dunned level and
all other details required for dunning. The dunning program proposal list can be created as often as
required since the dunning data for the item and in the accounts is not updated until the dunning
notices have been printed.

Furthermore, this activity proved that SAP isn’t only for manufacturing or merchandising-concern
business, but is also applicable to service-concern business.

The process of the business is much more understood through this system. Furthermore, the
operations prove to be more efficient. This person assigned in monitoring the aging of the accounts
longer need to manually track these records since the dunning feature would be able to generate this.

This proposed system, in general, will be a big asset to the institution. It helped us realize how
important convenience is in a business in the fast- tracked world of today. It helped us apply the
different functions of SAP in a true-to-life scenario, and helped add other valuable learning’s to the pile
which will ultimately aid us in the real world in the future.

Business One?

The knowledge I acquire in doing this project is that our business will used other functions in SAP
Business One like the dunning. This dunning feature make me and my partner confused on how to
work on this function because it’s not familiar to us. With this function , I am able to figure out that I
must not limit myself to the knowledge that I acquired in my SAP Business Class but to have deepened
understanding and on what are the other features can SAP offer to us aside from the Procurement,
Sales , MRP and other process I’ve learned. This feature is a challenge to us with my partner because we
need to learned and to know how to use this functions in order to this system to run and provides
convenience to everyone who are involved like the customers and employees who will use this system
in daily transactions and the operations as a whole.

The dunning plays a vital role in Accounts Receivable. Dunning is similar to reminder notice to our
business partners for their overdue items or outstanding balances. It generates a dunning letter as a
result of this feature, which summarized overdue invoices record and asks for payment to be made. This
dunning program includes: dunning procedure, dunning level and dunning areas. This projects proves
that SAP is not only manufacturing and trading concern that we’ve understood but also it apply to those
business in a service concern.

With this system, the daily operations will be more efficient and will be improved. The person is
assigned to monitor the accounts that have been due is no longer trace this accounts manually but
rather to use dunning on SAP and with this function it will generate a letter that will be sent to the
borrowers who has a delinquent accounts. This proposed greatly help to the institution. It helps us as to
apply different functions of SAP. And with these functions, these are not a burden on the part of the
employees and on the part of the customers.
