I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates and understanding of concepts, principle and
techniques in manicure and pedicure.

B. Performance Standard
The learner independently performs manicure and pedicure services.
C. Learning Outcome
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. identify the steps in newspaper nail art design;
2. apply the steps of newspaper nail art design; and
3. appreciate the significance of nail art design.

“NAIL POLISH RELAY”
The teacher will group the class into 6. Each student will be given a spoon.
The first student on each line will be given a nail polish and after they have finished
putting nail polish to the spoon, they will pass it to the second and up to the last
member of their group. If they are done, they will yell or shout, “WERE POLISH”.

D. Presenting examples/instances of the new lesson


The teacher will give a fingernail to the student. The student is free to design
the fingernail according to all the materials that they find in their bag.

Steps in Applying Newspaper nail art design

Step 1: Apply Basecoat.


Step 2: Dip your spoon in cup with alcohol (70%) for 5-10 seconds.
Step 3: Rub the newspaper print side for about 20 seconds.
Step 4: Using your cotton buds, dip it in nail polish remover to clean the side
of your spoon.
Step 5: Apply topcoat.
