• Respecting the carline and it’s rules not only keeps
traffic flowing, and students in their classrooms on time, it also keeps them safe while entering and exiting their vehicles! EXHIBIT A
• The YELLOW line represents how the carline is
designed to work! The 1st arrow represents where things start to go down hill because of the age-old “ZIPPER”!
• What is the “ZIPPER”? The definition is in its name.
The zipper represents the action of every other car intertwining to form one line. This idea is very effective (if used correctly)!
• The 2nd YELLOW arrow represents where
administration would like for you to pull your car down to. This rule wasn’t made to make your princess or prince walk in the heat, cold, or rain, it is to help the carline move efficiently. *Please remember when you stop at the gym door to avoid making your child walk in the rain that when the bell rings they will be dismissed and will........... wait for it............ WALK IN THE RAIN! W H AT H O L D S UP THE LINE
• If you make it past the zipper
and make it to the gym you will most likely encounter someone who stops at the gym door instead of pulling down to arrow #2. If not it’s possible you will encounter someone that allows their child to store their backpacks, musical instruments, etc. in their trunks which haults carline significantly! DANGER ZONE • Please look closely at the RED line!! This is what I like to call the DANGER ZONE!!
• This is a risky detour parents are
using to bypass carline! They are pulling out of carline into “Teacher Parking” dropping their kids and trusting they are paying attention to the cars coming around the corner who don’t realize they are there!
• They are then looping and trying to
pull out against the grain across 2 lanes of traffic and hoping the 3rd will let them in. This will most definitely cause an accident to occur all in the name skipping carline!! THE ANSWER
• This could be the answer
to all of our problems! This solution would relieve traffic on Trussville Clay Road, stop the need for the zipper, and keep traffic flowing!
• This problem isn’t rocket
science, it just takes a little brainstorming and action! HELPING TRUSSVILLE
