firsthand experience of languages.
March 2016. 8 day trip to Japan sponsored by the KAKEHASHI Project of the
Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, learning about Japanese culture,
government, economics, etc. 5 days in Tokyo, 3 in Mishima city, with time
spent with a host family. Lectures by Ministry Officials, Professors, and others
explaining how Japan is still blooming, even after the 2011 Tsunami. Firsthand
experience with Japanese, and maintained relationships with those encountered
in Japan.
