By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to;


1. Identify and know to use abstract and concrete nouns.
OBJECTIVES
2. Apply abstract and concrete noun in different situation.
3. Complete the sentences with the abstract noun correctly.
Set Induction
1. Teacher shows two words (love) and (hug).
 Ask pupils which one can be touch?
 Discuss.

1. Read and discuss the information.
 Ask pupils to focus on BOLD words.
 Ask pupils to read aloud the notes
2.Explain more about abstract and concrete noun ( refer to the notes)

1. Evaluate pupils’ understanding by
 Grouping the words into concrete and abstract noun.

1. Pupils need to complete the sentences with the abstract nouns.
2. Teacher distributes the worksheets and asks them to do it by themselves.
3. Teacher monitors pupils’ work.

1. Teacher asks the pupils to differentiate the abstract and concrete noun with
simple explanation.

OBJECTIVES 1. Speak confidently on related topics.
2. Answer teacher’s questions and the exercises correctly.
Set Induction
 Teacher introduces a song to the pupils and sings it
together.
 Teacher talks about the picture.
 What does the picture show?
 Talk about your family members.
Presentation
Let’s Talk (page 22)
Classroom Discussion.
 Recite a quote’ Having somewhere to go is Home,
Having someone to love is Family,
Having both is a blessing’
 Think of and give opinion the meaning of the quote.
 Encourage pupils to give idea.
ACTIVITIES  Select 6 pupils to role-play to conversation’ of a nuclear
family
 Selected pupils read the dialogue in front of
the classroom.
Group Activity
 Pupils will be divided into groups of four and each
group will name the correct relationship between the
people mentioned. After that, they will paste their
answers on the board and with the teacher, discussion
will be made.
Practice
 Pupils sit in pairs.
 Teacher distributes the worksheets and explains the
activity.
 Pupils answer the worksheets and hand in to the
teacher.
Production
 Pupils draw their own nuclear family.
 Teacher helps the pupils especially the weak ones.
Closure
 Teacher concludes the lesson
Nuclear family consists of a father, a mother, and the children.
Twin brother, shoemaker, design shoes, kindergarten, sister,
