1.

1 This event is open to all bona fide members of NECONFED-JPIA 1st Semester
AY 2017 – 2018 and to all members of PICPA – Negros Occidental Chapter.

1.2 This event aims to enhance the skills of the members in their respective non-
academic fields and to establish rapport with their fellow NECONFED - JPIAns

1.3 All participants must be in their expected attire during the games to be played.

1.4 Winners will be awarded at the end of the event.

1.5 Judges’ decision is final and non-appealable. No participant, contestant, or


representative shall be allowed to contact in any manner any judge with the
intention of questioning the announced decision.

1.6 Safety, sportsmanship, and respect must be demonstrated throughout the


duration of NECONFED – JPIA Sportsfest 2018.

1.7 During the contest, the NECONFED-JPIA officers reserve the right, in their sole
discretion, to disqualify participants. They are free to use such right against
participants who exhibited inappropriate actions disturbing the event and who
violated this IRR.

1.8 An addendum of the IRR may be uploaded on the NECONFED Facebook group.

2.1 Each school bring their banner for the opening ceremony.
2.2 The single – elimination process will be observed which means that each school
will be eliminated if they lost a game.
2.3 Battle for the championships will be based on the ranking of the teams.
2.4 Members who aren’t listed in the line-ups of the different sports events cannot
join any game. Deadline of submission of line-ups is on February 23, 2018,
11:59pm. Changes in the line-up must be of valid reason.
2.5 Color coding must be strictly followed for jerseys/shirts. Corresponding penalties
will be implemented if not followed.

2.6 Game schedules must be strictly followed. Lack of players for the game would
automatically mean forfeiture.
2.7 The following events will be garner the corresponding points:

CHEERDANCE, BASKETBALL MEN & WOMEN, VOLLEYBALL, SWIMMING:

Champion: 50 points 1st Runner Up: 40 points 2nd Runner Up: 30 points

3rd Runner Up: 25 Points 4th Runner Up and beyond: 20 points

CHESS, OTHELLO, PUSOY DOS:

Champion: 30 points 1st Runner Up: 20 points 2nd Runner Up: 20 points

3rd Runner Up: 15 Points 4th Runner Up and beyond: 10 points

2.8 Default teams will automatically garner no points in their respective games.
4.1 Each team will be given one (1) minute to enter the performance area and
prepare. Official time begins when the first organized movement/yell/cheer has
been executed or when the music starts. Duration of the performance shall be a
minimum of four (4) minutes and a maximum of six (6) minutes only. Official time
ends when the last organized movement/yell/cheer has been executed or
when the music stops. After the music stops, another one (1) minute will be given
for the team to leave and pick up any piece of material left on the performance
area. Five (5) points will be deducted from the total points given by EACH judge
for every minute or a fraction thereof, less or in excess of the allowable
performance time.
4.2 Each school is given the freedom as to the costumes that they will use as long as
the said costumes are safe and not prone to accident.
4.3 Each house can use up to two (2) handheld props during the performance. Use
of sets and big props are prohibited. Use of pyrotechnics/fire and any form of
liquid is strictly prohibited.
4.4 Music to be used for the whole duration of each house’s performance, either
one of the following shall be used:
i. Canned music only (on MP3 format, must be sent to
neconfedjpia17.18@gmail.com on or before February 23, 2018,
11:59pm)
ii. Combination of canned music and live drum beats (drums are to
be provided by the participating schools)

b. During the competition, one (1) representative from each house shall be
responsible to play, pause, or stop the music for the house.
4.5 Each participating house shall ensure that all members are prepared for any
untoward and unexpected incident during their rehearsals and final
performance. The organization will not be liable for any accident during
rehearsals and final performance.
4.6 Criteria for Judging:

TECHNICALITY 40 pts.
Dance techniques
(degree of difficulty, variation of movements, flexibility, gracefulness) 25 pts.
Body Movements and Stunts
(degree of difficulty, variety of skills, number of executors) 15 pts.

ARTISTIC IMPRESSION 50 pts.


Choreography
(movement, formations, transitions) 20 pts.
Concept and Creativity 10 pts.
Execution and Synchronization 10 pts.
Music, Audibility of Cheers and Yells 5 pts.
Props and Costume 5 pts.

OVERALL IMPACT 10 pts.


TOTAL 100 pts.

5.1 Games are to be played 5 v 5.


5.2 Games are to be played with 2 halves, 10 minutes running time for each half. 5
minutes break in between halves.

5.3 Teams should observe the clearball rule. (Clear ball is when bringing the ball
beyond the 3pt line every time a team gains possession. It should be observed
every time the ball goes in, hits the rim, stolen or got air-balled.)

5.4 One (1) timeout is allowed in the first half while 2 timeouts are allowed in the
second half.

5.5 Championship game will be played with 2 halves, 12 minutes running time for
each half.

5.6 Stoppage of time will be observed for the 2nd half of the Championship game.
Maximum of 8 players per team.
6.1 Games are to be played 3 v 3.

6.2 Two 6 - minute running time halves with 3 minutes break in between halves.

6.3 One free throw is allowed for every foul beyond penalty.

6.4 Clearball rule is to be followed.

6.5 All basketball rules are to be followed except for excessive travelling and double
dribble.

6.6 Maximum of 5 players per team.

6.7 Stoppage of time will be observed for the last 4 minutes of the Championship
game.

7.1 Games are to be played 6 v 6, requiring three (3) boys and three (3) girls.

7.2 General volleyball rules are to be followed.

7.3 Games will observe best of three sets, race to 15 for the first and second sets.
While race to 12 for the deciding set (if needed) will be observed.
7.4 Maximum of 10 players per team.

7.5 For the championship game, race to 15 for all sets.

8.1 Each team will have 3 players each regardless of gender.


8.2 Maximum of 4 players for each team is allowed.
8.3 General chess rules will be followed.

9.1 Each team will have 3 players each regardless of gender.


9.2 Maximum of 4 players for each team.
9.3 General Othello rules will be followed.
