1. Introduction A large majority of SH scroll compressors is used in parallel installation. Therefor
we have created new code numbers for the commercial range ensuring that all SH
compressors are ready for manifolding. This News provides the (new) code numbers
for ordering SH compressors, conversion kits and manifolding kits.

2. Rigid grommets for parallel Parallel SH compressors must be fixed with rigid grommets on a rigid base frame.
installation This common frame must be mounted on flexible grommets to reduce transmission
of vibration to the floor.

For that reason the new code numbers of SH180 to SH380 include new rigid mount-
ing grommets (see below picture). The previous SH180 to SH380 version with flex-
ible mounting grommets remain available on request but will no longer be kept in
stock. Code numbers for SH090 to SH161 don’t change.

to single compressors from stock (SH180-240-300-380 with rigid grommets) to a single compressor with
flexible grommets. This kit is not to be used for SH090 to SH161.

6. Manifold kit selection table For manifolding compressors, we created “Tandem and Trio kits” carefully studied in
the laboratory, to comply with compressor mounting and oil level equalization.
Please refer to our “Scroll compressor in parallel installation guide”: FRCC.EC.008.A1.02.
Also, drawings showing piping design to be followed, are available on request.
We hereunder sumarize the kit code number, required for each tandem or trio, to
order with CP1, CP2 for tandem (and CP3 for trio).
