Sunnah of Prophet

“We have revealed the reminder (Qur'aan) to you (O’ Muhammad) in order that you explain to
the people what has been revealed to them, that perhaps they may reflect” (Surah An-Nahl
16:44).

“Indeed in the Messenger of Allaah you have the most beautiful pattern of conduct” (Surah Al-
Ahzab 33:21)

“Whosoever obeys the Messenger, has indeed obeyed Allaah” (Surah An-Nisa 4:80)

“It is not fitting for a believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decreed by Allaah and
His Messenger to have any choice in the matter. If anyone disobeys Allaah and His Messenger
he is clearly astray” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36)

“…whosoever disobeys me, disobeys Allaah”

(Bukhari - Eng. Trans. Vol 9., p.198, No. 251)

“The Sunnah is like the ark of Noah. Whoever embarks upon it achieves salvation and whoever
rejects it, is drowned”
(Majmoo al-Fataawa (4/57))

“He who obeys me enters paradise, and he who disobeys me refuses to enter paradise”
(Bukhari - Eng. Trans. Vol 9., p.284, No. 384)

Makkah & Madinah

And it is He Who has restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the midst of
Makka, after that He gave you the victory over them. And Allah sees well all that ye do. (Al-Fath,
Chapter #48, Verse #24)

Prophet (may peace of Allah be upon him) said: (The superstructure of) al-Islam is raised on
five (pillars), i. e. the oneness of Allah, the establishment of prayer, payment of Zakat, the, fast
of Ramadan, Pilgrimage (to mecca). A person said (to 'Abdullah b. Umar the narrator): Which of
the two precedes the other-Pilgrimage or the fasts of Rarnadan? Upon this he (the narrator)
replied: No (it is not the Pilgrimage first) but the fasts of Ramadan precede the Pilgrimage.
(Sahih Muslim Book #001, Hadith #0018)

Friendship

Your (real) friends are (no less than) Allah, His Messenger, and the (fellowship of) believers,-
those who establish regular prayers and regular charity, and they bow down humbly (in
worship). (Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #55)

“And (remember) the Day when the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say: Woe to me! Would
that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Woe to me! If only I had not taken so- and-so as a
friend! He has led me astray from this Reminder (the Qur’an) after it had come to me. And
Satan is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need.” Qur’an 25:27-29
“Friends on that Day will be enemies one to another, except al-Muttaqoon (i.e. those who have
Taqwah).” Qur’an 43:67

Narrated Ibn Abbas: The Prophet once passed by two graves, and those two persons (in the
graves) were being tortured. He said, "They are being tortured not for a great thing (to avoid).
One of them never saved himself from being soiled with his urine, while the other was going
about with calumnies (to make enmity between friends). He then took a green leaf of a date-
palm tree split it into two pieces and fixed one on each grave. The people said, "O Allah's
Apostle! Why have you done so?" He replied, "I hope that their punishment may be lessened
till they (the leaf) become dry." ( Sahih Bukhari Book #23, Hadith #443)

"The believer is like a mirror to other believers (in truthfulness)."

Once the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was asked, "What person can be the best friend?" "He
who helps you remember Allah (SWT), and reminds you when you forget Him,"

Sports

"And (He created) horses, mules, and donkeys for you to ride and as an adornment...(Al Quraan
16:8)

The Prophet (Sallallâhu alaihi wasallam) himself raced with his wife. Hazrat Ayesha said: "I
raced with the Prophet (Sallallâhu alaihi wasallam) and beat him in the race. Later when I had
put on some weight, we raced again and he won. Then he said, 'This cancels that', referring to
the previous occasion."(Ahmad, Abu Dawood)

'And your body also has a right over you." (Bukhari)
