She was born in 1918 in White Sulfur Springs, West

Virginia. She is an African American woman and is 98 years old. She is a
mathematician, computer science, teacher, physicist and scientist from the United
States. She calculated the flight path of Apollo 11 to the moon. President Barack
Obama included Johnson on a list of 17 Americans granted the Presidential Medal
of Freedom in 2015. His husband is James Johnson. He is a lieutenant colonel from
the United States. They have three daughters: Constance, Joylette and Katherine.
And they also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, living in
Hampton, Virginia.
