Subject: Ancillary Services at JBCN International School, Borivali

Dear Parents,

As we come close to the end of another successful academic year, we are pleased with all
milestones achieved during the course of the year be it academic or co-curricular excellence. Our
endeavor each year is to provide a variety of platforms for the learners in keeping with our MIND
BODY SOUL philosophy and we look forward to the new academic year commencing in June
2015 to introduce new ideas and strategies. Your support and enthusiasm as we roll out ideas will
continue to inspire us to bring best practices to JBCN Borivali.

We also take this opportunity to share important administrative information for the new academic
year 2015-16:

A. TRANSPORT SERVICES

BUS
• The bus service at JBCN International School Borivali is optional.
• For those parents who wish to avail of the bus facility for the academic year 2015-16, we
require you to pay a non refundable deposit of Rs 5,000 between 10th April 2015 till 15th May
2015. Please note after 15th May 2015 we will be unable to offer this facility to you as we
customize bus routes based on the confirmations received by us. (The relevant form is
attached – Attachment No.1. It will also be available with the Accounts Department.)
• Please note this deposit can be paid at the school accounts office between 10 am and 1 pm
from Monday to Saturday via cash/cheque in favour of “JBCN International School”.
• The balance payment according to bus routes is to be made in June, 2015 during the Grade-
wise Academic Orientation. The deposit of Rs 5000 will be adjusted against the final
payment made in June during the academic orientations.
• Learners not part of the bus service will have to be in school 15 minutes prior to the start of
school timing communicated earlier.

• The bus cost will range from Rs 15,000 to Rs 33,000 based on the distance from school and the
number of learners coming from that area.
• Kindly note this fee is non transferable and non refundable, payable annually only.
• Kindly fill the BUS SERVICE APPLICATION with a passport size recent photograph of the
learner attached in the box on the form and submit along with the advance payment. Also
submit 2 stamp size photographs along with the form to update the records. Incomplete
applications will be difficult to process.

CARPOOL SERVICE:

• JBCN International School Borivali has introduced the CARPOOL SERVICE from the
academic year 2015-16.
• Please note the school will assist you in forming your carpool. Those parents who are
interested in this service should send in their forms latest by 30th May 2015. (Attachment
No.2)
• The school team will revert to you with a list of learners residing near you and who are
interested in the service.

B. CAFETERIA SERVICES

SNACKS AND LUNCH


• The cafeteria service at JBCN International School Borivali is optional, comprising of only
vegetarian (Jain /Non Jain) snacks and lunch.
• Snack is provided to all the learners but lunch is provided to only the primary and
secondary learners.
• This is an annual service for which parents will complete their formalities prior to the start
of the academic year and this fee is non refundable.
• You are requested to confirm your preference (Jain or Non Jain) and complete the annual
payment formalities before 30th May, 2015 at the school accounts office. Kindly tender
exact change.
• Please note this fee can be paid at the school accounts office between 10 am and 1 pm from
Monday to Saturday via cash/cheque in favour of “JBCN International School” as follows:
o Snacks – Rs 5,480/- per annum
o Lunch - Rs 15,900/- per annum
• For those parents, who do not confirm their preference and wish to do so in June 2015, we
will be in a position to offer these services ONLY 10 days after you have completed the
payment. This is because catering services are outsourced and the vendor requires time for
planning. We trust you understand this challenge and support the school.

• You need to inform the school about your food option (Jain/Non-Jain). (The relevant form
is attached - Attachment No.3. It will also be available with accounts department.)

NEW!!!!! JUSDIVINE JUICES (Optional service now available to parents)

We are proud to introduce to you JUSDIVINE juices, which are made from fresh fruits and
vegetables using cold-press technology. Those who wish to opt for the Jusdivine juices for
your learner, their representative will be available on the Academic orientation days in June
2015. An amount of Rs.1,000/- to be paid to the vendor directly (this is a new facility now
available to parents) per quarter for which 25 bottles of 110 ml each fresh juices will be
provided, approx for two days per week. Cheque will be payable favouring “Food Ideas
Private Limited “or cash will also be accepted. This will be on a trial basis for the first quarter
and will be continued in the subsequent quarters based on the response received.

C. UNIFORMS

UNIFORM
• Please note that the school has recommended a vendor who will be setting up a shop in
school between 12th June 2015 to 18th June 2015.
• A detailed time schedule class-wise will be shared on E Campus in the last week of April for
your child’s measurements and collection of uniform from the school’s recommended
vendor.
• Alternatively, you can also procure the same from any other vendor of your choice; the
detailed specifications will be shared with you via E Campus by 15th May 2015.
• Wearing of the school uniform as recommended by the school is mandatory including the
appropriate PE or School uniform as per instructions given during the Academic
Orientations in June (as per your class specific time-table).
• The learner needs to accompany the parent for measurements.
• The uniform purchase & delivery will start from 12th June, 2015.
• Payments can be made by cash/cheque. Cheque need to be drawn in the name of Fast point
creative LLP.

FOOTWEAR
• School shoes will be ALL WEATHER BLACK shoes (with lace or Velcro) of ANY MAKE
and the same is mandatory.
• The school will also request some vendors to set up a shoe shop for your convenience
during the Academic Orientations in June, 2015. The details of date and time will be shared
on E campus.
• However do note, all sizes will not be available.
• Alternatively you can also procure the same from any other vendor of your choice.

D. LEARNER KIT

• Kindly be informed that purchase of Learner Kit from the school shop is optional.
• Learner kit comprises of the required stationery, resource books, text books, notebooks, as
well as all school essentials, bag etc.
• The Learner kit will be available in school during the academic orientations.
• The Learner kit cost range will be as under:

i. Pre-Primary –Rs 3850-Rs 5500


ii. Grade 1 to IV- Rs 5500-Rs 7700
iii. Grade V to VII- Rs 8250 – Rs 10,450
iv. Grade VIII – Rs 12650-Rs 13200
v. Grade IX and X – Rs 14000-Rs 22000

• If you wish to purchase the Learner kit from the school you would be required to pay a
deposit as under before 5th May 2015:

i. Pre-Primary – Rs 2,500
ii. Grade 1 to V – Rs 4,000
iii. Grade VI- VIII – Rs 6,000
iv. Grade IX and X – Rs 10,000

• The balance of the Learner kit will be paid in the month of June when you come for the
academic orientations. The deposit paid by you will be adjusted against the final cost of the
Learner kit.
• Alternatively you can purchase all of the above from any vendor of your choice. The
detailed list of the learner kit will be shared with you via E-campus by the 15th of May 2015.
Please note that if you wish to buy the Learner kit from another vendor, the school shall not
be responsible if you do not get certain text book/ stationery items.

• The Learner kit has to be procured either fully from school or fully from outside vendors.
• The school will however provide all the learners with an almanac, learner identity card and
an authorization card at a nominal cost.

E. NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPLORER CURRICULUM

• We are proud to confirm that we are the first school in India to introduce the National
Geographic Explorer Curriculum for Language, Social Studies and Science.
• National Geographic Explorer Curriculum is an optional resource for the learners from
Senior Kg. to Grade VIII. However it is highly recommended by the school.
• If you wish to avail of the service you will need to confirm the same by submitting the
attached form - Attachment No.4 along with an amount of Rs 1600 before 15th May 2015 at
the school accounts office.

F. FEE PAYMENT SCHEDULE - (Q1 2015-16) :

COLLECTION OF FEE
• At JBCN International, we collect fees in the months of April, June, September and
December/January every year, scheduled in a manner to make it convenient for parents to
pay a quarter in advance and to ensure that there is enough flexibility to plan finances as a
family.
• A late fee charge of Rs 100 per day is applicable when fees remain unsettled. Dates for fee
payment will be mentioned in the Parent Handbook and will be uploaded on the E-
Campus.
