MCGRAW-HILL’S CONNECT ACCOUNTING
Managerial Accounting Day Class

CONNECT HOMEPAGE:

http://connect.mheducation.com/class/c-vilhauer-day-section

Your text allows you to do homework and other assignments using the Internet.

Advantages:
 You can check your work for accuracy at any stage
 Your work is graded immediately
 You may re-take any incorrect part of a chapter’s homework assignment as many times as you like
(only the best grade is recorded)
 Using a computer saves you a lot of time, and is more realistic

Disadvantages
 You need to be able to use a computer with Internet access
 There is a cost

STEPS:

1. GET AN ACCESS CODE

Before you register as a student with “Connect Accounting”, you will need an access code. It will
look something like:

P9UC-ABG9-EGUP-7BAP-HG66
There are two ways to get an access code:

 It is comes with your new textbook bought at Merced College Bookstore

 Purchase the access code and electronic version of the text online with a

From this point on you will be asked to key in your e-mail address, first and last name (preferably as it
appears on the class roster). Additionally, you will be asked to create a password, as well as selecting a
security question.

My advice on making up a password is to use something as simple and easily remembered as possible
(very few people are likely to spend hours breaking your code in order to do your assignments for you).
You might want to record these below:

e-mail: ……………………………………………………………………………………

Password: ………………………………………………………………………………..

Press the CONTINUE button once you have completed all the necessary sections.
THREE OPTIONS:

7
*Purchase an Access Code from McGraw-Hill

*Enter your Access Code * Use the Free Trial (Temporary Access”)
