1 Check suction and discharge piping and valve/ accessory installation.
2 Ensure that the suction and discharge valve of the system is 100% open.
Check whether foundation is secure and properly damped against vibrations (Refer to

4 Make sure that the motor and pump assembly is secured and clear any objects.
Check the motor termination condition, and cable connection, there should be no visible

cracks on its terminal blocks.
Ensure that Insulation resistance testing of each phase of the power cables and motor

are done prior to cable termination.
7 Submit the Inspection Request Form to obtain Engineer’s acceptance.
Any comments from Engineer/Client Representative per project references shall be

1 Ensure the Dial Indicator / Vernier Caliper has a valid calibration certificate.
2 Set the dial into zero.
Mount the dial indicator base to one coupling half or shaft and positioning the dial
3 indicator button on the front face or rear face of the opposite coupling half. inscribe index
lines in coupling halves.
4 Rotate both coupling halves together, making sure the index lines remain matched.
5 Prepare appropriate thickness of "Shims" necessary for the adjustment to be done.
Reposition the equipment in four rotating positions until the offset is within the
6
permissible value.
Monitor the alignment accepted values while tightening the base bolts and nuts of the
7
motor driver.
Make sure that the lock bar of the shaft is available and attached to the shaft to lock the
8
metal flange.
9 Re-tightening of the coupling metal flange and its rubber coupler.
10 The pump alignment report is available.

1 Ensure the Dial Indicator / Vernier Caliper has a valid calibration certificate.
2 Set the dial into zero.
Before conducting parallel alignment job, measure first the gap difference of each half of
3
the metal flange and record the data.
4 Prepare appropriate thickness of "Shims" necessary for the adjustment to be done.

5 Loosen the screws and bolts & nuts of the motor driver from the base skid.
Depending on the condition of the parallel misalignment reduce or place additional
6 "Shim" underneath the four foot comer of the motor to be able to correct the shaft top
and bottom part misalignment.
To be able to correct the side by side parallel misalignment, use a rubber hammer and
7 strike to move all four comer of foot base of the motor until getting the desired accurate
alignment.
Place a graduated ruler at the top, bottom and side to side of the shaft and measure the
8
gap difference in between.
9 Monitor the gaps while retightening all bolts and nuts of the motor driver.
10 The pump alignment report is available.

1 Visually Inspect the tank for any physical damage.
2 Set the tank in place and pipe system connection as per the approved shop drawing.
3 Check whether foundation is secure and properly damped against vibrations.
The required accessories (e.g. isolation valves, drain, etc.) are installed as shon in the

5 The air pressure in the tank is bled off to zero PSI gauge pressure.
Ensure that no trapped air inside the tank by opening the valves to the tank when filing the

system with water.

Make sure that the end to end motor and pump bearings/bushings are pre-lubricated before

energizing the pump.
Check the control panel for possible loose connection and wrong termination, correct it as

soon as possible before energizing the panel.
3 Check for the correctness of values in panel controller program.(if there’s any).
4 Check for the right connection of the motor terminal.
5 Check for the rotation of the motor it should be in clock wise direction.
Make sure that the correct wiring diagrams/ drawings are available inside the control panel.

Adjust the settings of the wye to delta time delay to 3 seconds or as per manufacturer written
7 instruction (applicable for wye-delta start).
8 Measure the current, voltage, rpm, and the suction & discharge pressure of the system.

1 Check the power supply from the main source 415 / 240 Volts AC @ 50Hz.
2 Check the control panel for possible loose wiring and wrong connections.
Check all bolts between pumps and control panel, if found some loose bolts and nuts re-tight

and put tightness marking.
Check for the functionality of main fuses, earthling cable, isolator, contactors, overload relays
4
and etc. inside the control panel.
5 Inspect if the control key pad is working properly.
6 Start up the each pump manually and check the actual current and voltage reading.
7 Check the change over between the duty and standby pump.
Check all of the indication lamps from the panel fascia (water level alarm, 3 phase indicator,
8
etc.).
9 Check the audible alarms is working (if available in the panel).
Operate the pumps on automatic mode by adjusting the pressure switch / sensor at its
10
desired set point.
Record the reading values of voltage, current, suction & discharge pressure, cut-in & cut-out
11 pressure.
12 Verify the change over of the pumps
13 Verify the pump performance curves
14 Verify the BMS points
15 Conduct integrity test with emergency power from the generator.
