Main Gear Fuel Pump Model 708500
The fuel enters the pump through Applications
an integral centrifugal boost stage
which pressurizes the fuel for use
by the augmenter fuel pump and
the gear stage of this main engine
fuel pump. The pressurized fuel
from the boost stage mixes with
returned fuel from the gear stage
bypass flow and is filtered through
a 35 micron disposable filter. The
flow then enters the gear stage and
is pressurized. An integral pressure
relief valve protects the fuel system
from over pressurization.
