ANGLICAN LIFE
NEWSPAPER OF THE THREE ANGLICAN DIOCESES IN
NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR
A Section of the Anglican Journal March, 2018

Sing, my tongue, the glorious battle,

Sing the ending of the fray;
Now above the Cross, the trophy,
Sound the loud triumphant lay:
Tell how Christ, the world’s redeemer,
As a Victim won the day.

Anglican Life is pleased to offer a three-part series on the relationship between the Anglican Church in Newfoundland and Bermuda. This first article
will provide an overview of the relationship between the two dioceses (formerly one diocese); the second article will look more closely at the building of
the cathedrals at both locations; the third article will examine the reconstruction and recovery of the two buildings, and will look at continued similarities
between the two dioceses, these “sisters of the sea.” A huge thank you goes to Mrs. Jennifer Murray, who kindly offered to research and write this series
for Anglican Life.
