asmaged - 25 received major damage and 75 only minor damage. Mining of Japaneso
waters was carried out with no loss or damage to the B-29's. 50 Effective sorties
laid 201 tons of mines.

P-471~ concentrated the greatest part o~ their effort on dive bombing enemy mili-
tary ~n:rt.a1lationa, citiea and hnt.h lro1d snd water tr9Jloporto.tion. 610 Tono of'
nnpn~ and high explosive bomba were dropped by 655 aircraft over the tnrgeta. 6
Aircraft were lost - 2 by flak, 2 to engine failure, 1 crashed on takeoff and .1
