UPDATING FIRMWARE
For devices with version 7.1 or higher , it’s have update version features
(the latest version can be downloaded at http://www.hiepphatcnc.com/ho-
tro/77 /ban-cap-nhat-moi-nhat-cho-bo-truyen-dnc.html), to update, do the
following:
1. Press the ESC button on the device, then plug the power, this time
the screen will appear interface like image below, requires us to plug
the USB has been copied firmware file into.
2. After plug USB into device, it will show
3. Move arrow key to chose “ BinFile_DNC_...” file, press ENT to

confirm OK, press ENT again to start updating.

4. The screen will appear as follows, wait for run 100%

completely,device will restart automatically, this time the device has
been updated to the lastest firmware.
5. Note: After finishing update, if the screen appear text require type I
put Demo Code, please contact us via email to get code unlock
Demo screen.

INTRODUCE FUNCTIONS
MAIN MENU
After pluging to power, welcome screen appear.

From main menu screen, use key to select function which you want
to use.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
EXPLORE
User use this function to manager files and hardisk inside and outside device.User
is able to do:
Format, check properties, access into different hardisks. For files and folder, user is
able to do: Read,Copy, Cut, Paste, Delete, check information of file, make new
folder.

DNC TRANFER
User use this function to transmit file to CNC machine in mode DNC (mode Tape
on CNC machine)
READ FROM CNC
User use this function to take out program or parameter from CNC machine and
save to device
DEVICE SETTING
Users use this function to adjust the parameters of the device and the appropriate
output port to communicate with CNC machines.

User use this function to get information about device and manufacturer

HOW TO USE INSTRUCTION

EXPLORE (FILE MANAGEMENT )
From main screen press key to choose function Explorer
Press to open Explorer

Explore’s screen show 3 hardisk:
1. C:/System: Sdcard inside device (1Gbyte)
2. D:/ USB Disk: USB storage (USB).
3. E:/ SD,MMC card: Sdcard outside device.
Press to choose hardisk you want to operate
Press to access.
Press to open Menu to operate:

1. Open: Access into hardisk
2. Format: Format hardisk.

3. Properties: Check information about: Capacity, Total size, Free space and
Used Space.
Press to choose function you want to manipulate .
Disk Properties
The screen shows the hard disk parameters such as:
1. Name the hard drive are viewing: C: /, D: /, E: /
2. Hard drive capacity : Kbyte.
3. Used Space: % and Kbyte.
4. Free Space:% and Kbyte.
Disk Format
Devices show Warning message that data on the hard drive will be erased. Select
OK to accept and Cancel, to ignore Format .

Disk Open
The screen will display the Folder and File available on the hard drive. Icon
infront of selected object mean object is Folder and icon mean object is File.
Use key to select object.
Press to open Menu you want to manipulate.

1. Open: Open file or Folder selected
2. New Folder: Make a new folder. Screen will display a virtual keyboard. Use
to select character, press to. Press to name it.
Press to escape and cancel make new folder. Press ENT on virtual
keyboard and press complete making new folder.
3. Copy/Cut: It’s only used for file, copy or copy file from this hardisk to
another harddisk, for example – from USB to device memory.
4. Paste: Paste object which you copy or cut before

5. Delete: If the object is Folder screen will display a message fails if the folder
contains files inside. If the object is File screen will display a message to
confirm the file deletion request.

6. Properties: Open this function to check the information of the selected

object. If the selected object is Folder, it will not excuted because of the
limitations of the software version. If the object is File, screen will display
the currently selected file information including file name, file path, file size
(in bytes).

DNC TRANFER
From main screen press to access into function “DNC Transfer”.
Press to open function.
Paremeter:
1. Name of file which selected to transmit to DNC machine (if there’s no file
choosen screen will show“No File Select”.)
2. “RS232: 9600,7,2,N” : Thể parameters which was config for port RS232.
3. “0%”: Percentage transmited
4. "STOP": Status stop transmitting if the text"STOP", waiting for the signal
from the CNC machine if the text is "WATTING ...", transmitting data to the
CNC machine if the text is "SENDING .
Open File:
1. Press to open hardisk you want to choose file to transmit.
2. Use to select File
3. Press to escape.

Check file content:

After loading file you need to transmit, content of file will be show on screen, user
can press to recheck content of file.
Transmitting DNC:
After choose file and CNC machine avaliable to use then Press on device to
start transmitting data to CNC machine. At this time, the stage on device will show
“ WAITTING..” to notice user that the device is avaliable to run.User only need to
press “CYCLE START” in CNC machine to starting transmitting (Mode tape on
CNC)
Note: In some cases, if you manipulate on CNC machine first and then press
on DNC device, it may not transmit data because the device does not
receive signals from CNC machine (XON), in this case, press to emulate
XON signal and activate automatic transmission process.
To (STOP), user Press . Device will automatic reload file from the
beginning.

READ FROM DNC (GET FILE GCODE OR PARAMETER FROM CNC MEMORY
OUT)
From main screen Press to choose function “Read From CNC”.

Screen will show:File name, parameter of port RS232, Status of device, and
content of data .
The device will automatically create one sample template files in the system's
memory and automatically in the waitting mode, after press Punch on CNC
machines, these data will be displayed and transmitting to device, after completing
, the device will ask whether you want to save the file, file name will be the first
15 characters of the file data from CNC machine, press to save and press
to cancel

After pressing screen will display like picture below, press
to select place that you want to save and press /Select path to save.

DEVICE SETTING
From main Screen press to choose function “Device Setting”.
Press to up and down,press to choose.
Press to change value
Paremeter:
1. Startup Pro : Select function display power on (Main Menu, DNC, Explorer)
2. Data out: such as RS232, Hp Buff, Fanuc 6m ...
3. Shake hand: Mode shakehand when transmitting data to the machine. Usally
is Software

4. Auto Resend: Automatically run the program from the beginning when
processing is complete
5. Lcd contras: adjust the contrast of the screen
6. RS232 delay:Usually going to 0ms
7. Baud Rate: Select Baud rate.
8. Data Bits: Select the number of bits of data (7.8).
9. Stop Bits: Select Bit Sop (1.2).
10.Check Bits: Select Check Bit (None, Even, Odd).
11.Out startup, Intrigger, Data Invert, Wait type: These parameters are used to
fine tune the parallel port, to follow the manufacturer's default
12.Delay Char (ms): Delay time of parallel port, used to adjust the parallel port
of the CNC machines
13. Read Stop: The feature is used to detect the end of the file of function Read
From. There are 2 modes are Time Out and% Gcode%, in mode% Gcode%,
the device will proceed to retrieve data until the appear symbol %, indicates
the program has finished, it will automatically stop and complete receive data
from the machine.
14. Time out: After the first period, if the device does not read any more data , it
will understand that it has completed reading file from CNC machines, for
example, if the setting is 10s, after 10s waitting if there are no data is read
any further, the device will finish receiving data from cnc machine.

Hiep Phat currently provide 2 model of DNC Transfer Device:

1. DNC Basic
2. DNC with networking (LAN port RJ45 )
This section is only for DNC with networking (LAN port RJ45 )(2)
INTRODUCE
To transfer data to CNC machines, besides the method introduced as transmission

via USB or SD CARD, users can also use the LAN network or Wifi to transmit
data via RJ45 port.
Advantages of Transfer data via network:
 Remotely: Because it can connect directly via wifi, you may not need to
direct handle it, you can control the device from a long distances, as long as
it connect to wifi, you can perform tasks such as running the file, copy,
delete, create folder on our software (Hp TFTP)
 Send message via the network: You can sends a message to DNC
device from software, the staff can receive and follow
 Sercurity: It lock USB port, does not allow retrieving data out, so when the
operator control software used to run the file to transfer to the CNC

machine, staff will not know which is unable to copy files and out, so will
security information
PART 1: IP CONFIG FOR DNC DEVICE
STEP 1:
Turn on computer which you want to use to control device, press Windows +R,
type CMD, click OK
Screen will display CMD windows, type “Ipconfig” to check IP,Subnet Mark and
Default Gateway of network you are using:

You need to remember this for to config DNC device below, here we have the
result:
Ipv4 Address: 192.168.0.119
Subnet Mark: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1
When we config on device, we keep Subnet Mark and Default Gatewayt, just
customize IP follow the form 192.168.0.x, where x is the number from 2 -> 254,
and does not coincide with other IP addresses in LAN network
STEP 2:
Turn on device, access function Device Setting, using arrow key to move to page 5

Press key to move back and forth , press to select item
what need to config, press again to change value, press

Open CMD on computer, type “Ipconfig”
Then fill out the Subnet Mask and Default Gateway the same as the results above
SubnetMark :255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

And IP item you just pick one other IP, eg 192.168.0.125, this IP should be other
than the IP has been allocated before in the network
After custom finished, press to exit.
To test the connection, we began connect network cable to device, then from the
computer we open CMD, type ping + IP address

 Press Windows + R, type firewall.cpl
 Click Turn windows firewall on or off

Click Add Device button, in box Device Name we enter any name, in box Device
IP Address, we enter the exact IP that we've installed for the DNC device before,

After complete, click Add New

Return to the main interface of the software, click on the inverted triangle of box
Device, now it will drop down a list and we will see the Device Name and IP
address which we enter before, click to select, note this time we have a network
connection to DNC device.

After the click, we will see screen like the image below, in Box HP Device is the
device's internal memory.

To copy file from computer to device, we click select file then drag it to box
below.

To proceed to transfer file to CNC machine, right-click the file and select Run This
File , or simply select the file and then click F5
We also can other operations as rename, or delete folders and create new folder

To proceed to send messages from the software to the device, press Send Msg
button, 1 small box will pop up, you just need to enter the information you need to
send then press Send, the message will immediately be sent to the DNC device.

Note that when the device is accessing any application with high priority such as
copying files or transferring files to CNC machines, software we will block access
to the device automaticly to avoid conflicting data , at that time screen will show
the following dialog
