Subject: Hydraulic Operated Center Latch Elevators for 350 ton

Purpose: To inform the industry on the correct use of Hydraulic

Operated Center Latch Elevator

Effective: B+V VES-CL 350-H, P/N 613900-Y-H, 350 ton

Description of incidents:

Blohm + Voss was informed of an incident with the VES-CL 350-H Elevator.

The Link Block Assembly for the Hydraulic Cylinder was not correct installed (see Picture 1).

Damaging of Latch Lock Pin, Actuator and Link Block Screws are the result of wrong installation.

Check Elevator for correct installation of Link Block Assy, if this is not correct insatalled, please contact
