Lesson Objectives: By the end of today’s lessons trainees:
1) Can follow speech which is very slow and carefully articulated, with long pauses p 40
2) Can exchange personal details (e.g. where they live, things they have) p. 40
3) Present their personal profile (from course book) p. 41
4) Can give personal details in written form in a limited way p. 41
Lesson ACTIVITIES/STAGING:
EQUIPMENT:
Lesson 1: -Smartboard
Warm up: -O H P
- Trainer greets the trainees and takes the attendance. -Student’s book
- Homework/ MyEnglishLab Gradebook feedback. -Instructor’s PC
- Trainer states the objective of the lesson.
- As a warm-up, trainees work in pairs to ex. 2 p. 39.
Presentation: Grammar Focus 3 p. 40
Ex-1
- Demonstrate the activity by doing the example sentence. T asks Ss to do the excercise individually then check
answers on their ipads.
Ex-2 - Ss work in pairs to listen and underline the answers they hear on their ipads.
Ex-3 T. Demonstrates forming questions by adding "do" to the words. Trainees make similar questions.

Ex. 4: Ss work in pairs and take turns to ask and answer questions from ex 2 and 3
Conclusion:
The instructor concludes the main points of the lesson (making yes no questions with do and giving short answers.

Warm up:

EX-1 Listening
Ss look at the picture and guess the woman's job:
Ss listen and tick the things the woman talks about

Ex-2:
Ss fill in the missing info about Talya then listen again and check their answers

Ex-3
Ss listen again and check the phrases they hear in the useful language box.

- Conclusion:
The instructor concludes the main points of the lesson and asks the trainees if they have any questions.
