2.3 Determine the total electric potential energy to bring all three charges from infinity to the right angle
triangle array of three charges shown in the diagram below, if charge Q1 = +8.00 μC is brought first
from infinity, then charge Q2 = -15.0 μC, and finally charge Q3 = 20.0 μC, all charges brought from

3.1 When the temperature of a coin is raised by 75 C°, the coin’s diameter increases. If the original
diameter of the coin is 1.8×10-2 m and its coefficient of linear expansion is 1.7×10-5/C°, what is the
change in the coin’s diameter? [2]

3.2 A liquid is flowing through a horizontal pipe whose radius is 0.02 m. The pipe bends straight upward
through a height of 10 m and joins another horizontal pipe whose radius is 0.04 m. What will be the
speeds of the fluid at point 1 and point 2 to keep the pressures in the two horizontal pipes the same
(Hint: P1 = P2)? [7]
