 Transition is a tech forum open only to pre-final year students


of BE /B Tech /ME /M Tech/ MCA
 Transition seeks to enhance technical skills and inculcate in the
students a spirit of entrepreneurship, before they step into the
corporate world.

Nomination Round
 Each college can send 3 nominations (teams) only, each team comprising 2
students. Single member teams not allowed.
 Submit an abstract in approx. 1000 words in MS Word format (Verdana
Font 10, double spacing, 1” margin on all sides)
 Abstract to be sent across to the College Placement Officer as per the Last
Date specified
 Top 10 entries will qualify for the final round. Finalists names to be
announced by 13 September

Final Round
 Shortlisted teams will be required to present a MS PowerPoint ppt on the
date of the event
 Each team will be given a maximum of 15 minutes for the ppt.
 Prototypes, Proof of Concepts or other aids are not mandatory but may be
used for supporting a concept.

 A maximum of 1 team from a college can participate. No restriction on


the number of members in a team.
 Actors and film technicians need to be team members only
 Language of the movie: English.
 Length of the film should be between 3 – 5 minutes only.
 The movie should be on any of the following themes:
- Reality Shows - a mock-u-mentary
- The passion to make a difference
- Global Warming – a documentary
- Life is a Journey…
 Following content is mandatory:
» Movie Title
» Credits with each team member’s role in film-making
» Details of the equipment and software applications used

Mission Intermission

 All teams will be provided 10 min to promote their movie to the panel of
judges and present their case.
 Entire team to be present on the day of the event
 Final evaluation will be based on creativity of both the film and its
promotions
 Participant details to be sent across to the College Placement Officer as per
the Last Date specified
 Final movie to be submitted to the College Placement Officer in mpeg
format (in a CD) as per the Last Date Specified

 A platform for students to compete and assess their knowledge across


disciplines
 Open to all students across all disciplines of engineering.
 No limit on the number of participants from each college.
 Individual event.
 Two rounds
» I Round: Written Test(covering general engineering concepts)
» II Round: Case Study Presentation (to be shortlisted from Round I)

 Only 1 team per college with no restriction on team size
 Each college will be provided a stall to showcase their creativity
 Stall design needs to be on ANY one of the following themes:
• Green IT
• Innovation in hygiene maintenance at public places
• Social software for enterprises
• Human Computer interfacing(HCI) beyond conventional tools (using
speech-recognition and other methods)
Panorama
Rules and Regulations:
 You will be provided a 3m X 3m stall.
 At least one team member to be present in the stall through the event
to explain the concept to visitors. Presentation to visitors will be an
important evaluation criteria.
 While the stall will be provided by Cognizant, all other materials will
have to be procured by the institute

 All Placement Officers and senior faculty members are cordially invited
 Lunch and refreshments will be provided by Cognizant.
 Deadlines for preliminary rounds of the contests are to be strictly
adhered to
 Decision of Cognizant in all aspects will be final and binding
