Paragon of excellence

Wit.Determination.Courage.These are the weapons of JPIANS of Jose Rizal Memorial State

University brought with them as they trooped to join the 20 th Regional Mid-year Convention on
September 22-24, 2017 at Manuel Resort, Pinan, Zamboanga del Norte.

Seeing the students with thick eye glasses, thick books in their hands and pimples scattered in
their faces did not scared any of us. It did not drain the energy and spirit we saved for this battle but
instead these added the courage we have. They brought the names of their well-known schools but we
have the pride and support of our school.

They looked smart, yes but it does not change the fact that we are determined and confident to
win.

Chrishelle Mae A. Canda and Zyron Mark Laus proved that we, JRMSUANS belong to Pacioli’s
family--------- we are one of Pacioli’s children. They showed to the entire region that we also have that
brain they had and the wit they owned as they placed their selves in academics, ranked 3 rd and 5th
respectively in Accounting Cup 1.

We may not stand-out in the academic competition; we made our way in conquering the
nonacademic. JRMSUAN used their amazing strategies and analytical skills in competing as they
champion the Amazing Race. Aljay M. Ambos tell the region how he mightily used a pen in expressing his
wide and creative imagination as he ranked 3 rd in Short Story Writing. We proved also how quick we are
in responding and giving opinions to currents issues as Kert Jay Alunan placed as 5 th in Extemporaneous
Speaking. Jessa Mae L. Villavicencio and Ma. I. J. Xaviery E. Cabilin showed that they are brilliant as they
reached 2nd in Pinoy Henyo as long with the Family Feud members Aljay Ambos, Ma. Edsylle Parot, Rona
Lumboan, Hyacynth Balase and Lera Dagpin as they ranked 3 rd. Unity is what Cykee Hanna Lumongsod,
Daisy Jane Ambus, Derickvince Leonardo and Mary Ann Maghinay used as they placed 3 rd in Slogan
Making. A real talent was Rexsiline Tumapon shared to everyone as she impersonate Ariana Grande as
she ranked 2nd in Your Face Sounds Familiar.

We did not give up as long as we are together, moving as one and no one left behind.

The agony of waiting the magical night of coronation has gone as we witnessed the beauty of
our representatives who hold up the torch of JRMSUANS-------- Ms. April Rose Quilo and Mr. Vaughn
Thomas Sumalpong. They showed to everyone their hidden talent as their magnificent voices sung a
traditional courting song with emotions that made them stand-out as best in talent. They confidently
walk on the ramp with pride and determination that they can be the one who will bring home the
crown. They did not show even a little fear that might dethrone their courage and strong faith. They
smile confidently with a humble aura and a good heart.

Loud and proud voices of JRMSUANS were cheering around the four corners of the hall as Mr.
Vaughn Thomas Sumalpong announced as Mr. Ambassador of Goodwill 2017 2 nd Runner-up. And as the
time the host declares Ms. April Rose Quilo as Miss Ambassador of Goodwill 2017, NFJPIA-WMC,
everyone are keep on cheering and applauding their happiness while reciting the winning answer of Ms.
Quilo, “The woman who deserves to be crowned as the Miss Ambassador of Goodwill is the woman who
has the heart and in her mind the best interests of JPIA. She is someone who is strongly willing the
paragon of responsibility, a paragon of inside-out beauty and most of all a paragon of excellence. And I
believe that woman is me.”

We went home with satisfaction in our heart and mind. We may not won all the categories and
we may not stand-out among them all, it is okay as long as we built our relationship tightly in making our
way-------- our JPIAN WAY to SUCCESS.

We bring home the crown as we bring home the pride of being a JPIAN ------ a paragon of
excellence.
