5 Is there any relationship between coercive and altruism? Do you accept or reject your
hypotheses? (2 marks)

8
OSM601/ASM601

There is a relationship between coercive power and altruism.

Based on the r = value = .888 and the p = value = 0.00, these results indicates there is a
significant high relationship between coercive power and altruism.
Therefore the hypothesis is accepted

6 Is there any relationship between referent and altruism? Interpret your result based
on the p-value and significant value. (2 marks)
There is a relationship between referent power and altruism.
Based on the r = value = .977 and the p = value = 0.00, these results indicates there is a
significant high relationship between referent power and altruism.
Therefore the hypothesis is accepted

7 Conclude your result from the findings of the relationship above. (2 marks)
It can be conclude that both coercive power and referent power both relation highly towards
altruism.

QUESTION 3: COMPARISON ANALYSIS (20 marks)

1 Is there any significant difference between male and female employees towards
altruism? Run the Independent Sample T-Test and interpret the result by answering
the following questions:
a. What is the mean score for male and female? Copy and paste the table.
(2 marks)

Group Statistics

Gender N Mean Std. Deviation Std. Error Mean

Male 11 4.33 .539 .162

ALTRUISM
Female 19 4.18 .553 .127

b. State the null hypothesis. (1 mark)

There is no significant between male and female employees towards altruism.

c. Does altruism has any significant differences between male and female
employees? Do you accept or reject the hypothesis? Copy and paste the
table. (3 marks)

2 Is there any significant difference between junior and senior employees towards
altruism? Run the Independent Sample T-Test and interpret the result by answering
the following questions:
a. What is the mean score for junior and senior? Copy and paste the table.
(2 marks).

Group Statistics

Age Category N Mean Std. Deviation Std. Error Mean

Junior Employee 20 4.19 .575 .129

ALTRUISM
Senior Employee 10 4.32 .492 .155

b. State the null hypothesis. (1 mark)

There is no significant between junior and senior employees towards altruism.

c. Does altruism has any significant differences between junior and senior
employees? Do you accept or reject the hypothesis? Copy and paste the
table. (3 marks)

3 Conclude your results based on the above analysis. (4 marks)

Based on my observation, there is no significant between gender and years of service
toward altruism.
