Objectives
After completing the course student-teachers will be able to

• Comprehend the role of family.
• Explore the various support systems to implement family empowerment programme
• Acquire knowledge on community resources.

Unit 3: Working with Family having Children with Disability

Unit 2: Family Needs

options for listening devices, school placement) and Advocacy
2.4 Supporting family in raising children with hearing impairment: Facilitating availing of
