NOTE: Abaqus 6.13-1 only supports 64-bit operating system.

1. Install Abaqus 6.13 Documentation (optional, but recommended).

2. Install Abaqus licensing following procedures shown below:
2.1. Click “Install Abaqus Product & Licensing”.

2.2. Select “SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server”, then click “Next”.

2.3. Fill your computer name in “HOSTNAME” field (usually filled
automatically).

2.4. Select “Just install the licensing utilities”.

2.5. Choose a destination folder, and complete Abaqus licensing installation.

2.6. Open “Crack” folder in the DVD image, and copy “license.lic” to the
installation folder of Abaqus licensing; edit “license.lic” using any text
editor, replacing “this_host” in the first row by your computer name, and
save the file; create an empty text file “license.log” in the same folder.
 2.7. Right-click “Computer” icon  “Properties”  “Advanced system
settings”  “Environmental Variables…”  “System variables” 
“New…”, and add a new system variable with name
“LM_LICENSE_FILE”, value “27011@your computer name”.

2.8. “Start” menu  “All Programs”  “Abaqus Licensing”  “Licensing

utilities”  “Config Services” tab  fill “Service Name” field, and
designate paths to “lmgrd.exe”, “license.lic”, and “license.log” (which
should be all in the installation folder of Abaqus licensing)  tick “Use
Services”  click “Save Service”.

2.9. “Service/License File” tab  select “Configuration using Services” 

select the service you just configured  “Start/Stop/Reread” tab  click
“Start Server”  “Server Status” tab  click “Perform Status
Enquiry”. If the license server starts successfully, you will see the
number of licenses issued and the number of licenses in use for each
feature of Abaqus. Note that your personal firewall should be properly
configured to unblock activities of the license server.
3. After the license server starts successfully, complete Abaqus products
installation.
4. To use Abaqus user subroutine, follow the procedures shown below:
4.1. Install Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2012
4.2. Install Intel Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013
4.3. Open “abq6131.bat” located in Abaqus products installation folder (e.g.
“C:\SIMULIA\Abaqus\Commands\”) using any text editor, adding two
new lines at the beginning of the file, consisting of the paths to
“vcvarsall.bat” and “ifortvars.bat”, as shown in the following example:

4.4. After adding a new line to “abq6131.bat”, save the file, and run “Start”
menu  “All Programs”  “Abaqus 6.13-1”  “Abaqus
Verification”. If the working environment is configured correctly, you
will see “PASS” in the log file under verification items related to user
subroutine.
