Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies

10mins Beginning the Lesson
 Start the class by saying Good morning: (Ice breaker activity)
 Introduce myself to the students (roughly about 5mins)
 Review on what they have learned from the last class
 Then ask the guiding questions
 Say a prayer

30mins
Developing the Lesson
 Let the students take turn reading the points from 1 to 7 on Christ in the textbook and
allow the students to write in a piece of paper which number they would want to
understand more.
 After that go to the next points about the Cross and let the students read the facts. Again,
ask the students to write in a piece of paper which number they would want to understand
more. Collect the paper.
 Divide the class into small groups. Each groups will read each of the seven “what we
have learned....” points in their notes and look back into the 40 Bible events studied in
The Story of Hope. Match one or more events where we have learned about this specific
fact related to Jesus Christ. Write that event name and number beside the appropriate
point number. Follow the template given.
 Show an example and then the timer. Guide each group as they do the activity.
 When the time is over, collect their output. Ask if there is any event in the Bible that
Jesus is not in it? Why do they think so?
 Ask the students to locate John 14:6 and 1 Peter 2:24 ask a volunteer/s to read it loud.
 Ask the students to share three or more points that they can share about Jesus Christ

10mins Closing the Lesson

 Ask the students: After reading all the truths about Jesus and that you were also able to
point out His presence in the Bible events, what would be the world like if Jesus didn’t
come? Didn’t die on the cross?
 Reflective writing: Say: In your Religion notebook, divide one page into 2 columns. Just
like the previous activity on “Believer and Unbeliever”, I want you to describe what
would be the world like “with Jesus” and “without Jesus”. Describe the values / moral we
would have, the attitude, the dreams, the government, the society, the families, anything
you could think of where Jesus could be part of it or NOT part of it.
 Close with John 14:6
