Reports:
Treasury: There is $8,853 in the main account, $1,705 in the youth account and $1,360 in the
convention fund.
Teri Martin made the motion to dispense with the minutes from the previous meeting. Scott
Partridge seconded the motion. Motion carried.
National: The national office is looking for a new classifier. Dave Wallace is leaving so they
are also looking for a new Executive Secretary. The BSA program has been redone.
Scholarship: This year we had 4 applicants. Stacia True made the motion to give only the top 2
kids a scholarship. Leon Button seconded the motion. Motion carried. This year the winners are
Ian Martin and Abbie Cox.
National Convention: There is no heifer show planned but if anyone wants to do a heifer show
and be in charge of it we need to know by Spring Show.
The Ambassador deadline will be extended until October 5th. We will crown the new
Ambassador at the Eastern Breeder’s Sale in Cobleskill. The Ambassador can be male or female
and they have to own at least 1 Brown Swiss. Their duty for the year is to pass out ribbons at the
Brown Swiss show at State Fair and at the Spring Show along with any Canton shows they are
invited to and can attend.
We need more help for events. For the merchandise table at the State Fair we want an adult to
pick a day during the state fair and they will be in charge of the table, getting people to work and
sell merchandise at the table and sell raffle tickets.
We are going to wait until State Fair to sell raffle tickets. Some tickets are mailed to Juniors who
sold the year before but no one really sells any until State Fair so it will be easier to know where
the tickets are if we just wait until State Fair.
