    Bearings measure the direction or angle of movement by using a reference point of North and measuring clockwise in three digits. Bearings must be measured from North, measured clockwise, and contain three digits to properly indicate direction or angle of movement. For example, a bearing of 045 would indicate an angle of movement 45 degrees clockwise from due North.
