Dr. Ashok Gulati is a well known Indian agricultural economist. For his contribution to the field, he
was honored with the Padma Shri, a high Indian civilian award, by the President of India in 2015.
His research centers around issues related to agriculture and food security, agri-trade and agri-value
chains, crop insurance, subsidies, sustainability and poverty alleviation.
