The SAP Functional and Business Analyst is accountable to the

Business Information Systems Director and is responsible for
employing technical and analytical skills to bridge the business
needs with use of IT. This includes, but is not limited to, gathering,
developing, examining, and managing business requirements and
provide guidance towards properly configuring SAP to deliver
business value and continuous improvement.
The incumbent will work closely with Vicwest functional groups
including marketing, finance, and operations and will support
business priorities aligned with the Business and IT groups.

Key Accountabilities

SAP Functional and Business Requirements Management

– Apply business requirements gathering and analysis techniques

to develop quality business requirements, and facilitate the
communication between the business and technology areas to
address business issues

– Promotes own ideas about improvements to current approaches

and is able to effectively gain buy-in from respective groups

– Develop function specification for reports, forms, interfaces,

modifications and data conversions

– Act as a key point of contact and support for end users and
functional teams

Performing Risk Assessment and Providing Recommendations

– Develops knowledge of process, procedures, and system to be

able to provide support for most issues raise

Support, Training, Development and Continuous Improvement

– End-user support, including documentation, communication of

enhancements and changes to systems and processes >Identify
and drive forward continuous improvement opportunities

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a progressive SAP Functional and

Business Analyst role

University or College degree in a related field

Understanding of systems and processes as related to business

operations in manufacturing

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, Pivot

tables, etc.)

Strong experience with SAP is required; swim lanes, policies,

procedures, and practices

Certification in one or more functional Modules in SAP FICO, MM,

PP SD, WM, HCM, BOBJ, CRM, QM

Post-secondary education

Understanding of the system impact on all OTC, PTP, RTR

functions. Strong problem evaluation and solving skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Identifies patterns in information

Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional approaches

Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills

Full cycle implementation project experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the configuration of SAP

Integration experience with MM, FICO, WM, SD, QM, PP, LE, PS

Superior knowledge of Base functionality in at least one functional

module is preferred

Experience in a manufacturing or distribution business processes

Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or above is required

Experience in ABAP an Asset
