I believe we have the most inspiring Easter Passion Play
in Montgomery. Great story – great music – amazing
drama. Every year God uses this to reach people with the
gospel. It is powerful, life changing and refreshing. So
here is what I’m asking you to do.
Each week make yourself a goal – to invite whatever
number of people to see this amazing presentation. They
may be neighbors, relations, co-workers or just some
stranger beside you in the grocery line. This week make a
goal to invite four people. Next week another three. Then
the last week perhaps go for five more. However you do
it make a goal and try to meet. The results can be eternal.
Take this Encourager or extra Sunday programs and
hand them to others.
Easter changes everything! It is our most celebrated
day of worship and should be. Christ’s victory over sin
and death gives us hope for all of life. In a few weeks
(April 1) we will gather to celebrate on Easter. I hope
you can be there. I also hope you will invite someone to
worship with you.
Our week of Prayer for North American Missionaries
begins Sunday, March 4. You will find a guide with
names of missionaries to pray for each day. Neal Hughes
serves as our Director of Missions and will be preaching
to us on that day. Connie and I will be taking some days
away.
In every church there is seniority. We give respect
to those who have served faithfully for years. There
is also authority in the church. We have teachers and
leaders that we should also respect. Yet there is never any
superiority. Every person at Eastmont is as important
and valuable as the others.
When asked to complete the sentence with one word.
“God is ____________.” I said “God is more.” He is
more loving, more powerful, more forgiving than I could
imagine. What would you write?
Eastmont is blessed with people of every age group.
We have at least five generations that gather each Sunday.
As pastor I try to minister as thoroughly as possible. But
the task is far too great and demanding for one or even
a few. The weight becomes too heavy and the needs go
unmet. That is why the Bible teaches that all of God’s
people are ministers. I’m glad we share this ministry
together.

FOUNDATIONS 260 BIBLE PLAN
Students are reading through the Bible with the F-260 plan,
available upon request. Also, Cleve is leading a Sunday
evening discussion group based on this reading plan for
parents/adults at 5:00 p.m.
SUMMER MISSION TRIP - NASHVILLE
Our students will attend MFuge this Summer in Nashville,
Tennessee, June 25-30. The total cost to attend is $300 per
person. Registration forms are available. $75 reserves a
spot. Speak to Cleve or Karen for more details.
SUPER SUMMER ALABAMA - July 9-13.
This is a discipleship camp for 8th through 12th grade
students. The early bird cost is $175 for those who register by
Sunday, April 8. Forms are available upstairs.
HELPING HANDS MINISTRY
Each Spring our students offer services to anyone wanting
certain chores or tasks performed in or around their home.
This ministry is meant to raise funds toward the student
mission trip. Be on the lookout for more information on
fliers throughout the church.

Sunday Night Bible Study
Meet upstairs in the College room at 5pm as we pray, plan,
and discuss what God is doing in our lives
Mosaic
A Thursday night Bible study/worship gathering for 18-
25 year olds. Will be held on the campus of Cloverdale
Baptist. Pray for God to open doors. Contact Gene if you’re
interested in learning about how to serve in this area.
Secret Church
April 20. 6 hours of Bible study and prayer time. Topic:
Cults & Counterfeit Gospels.
Acts 17 Initiative - May 18-24.
Mission intensive in Clarkston, GA where we become better
equipped to boldly share the Gospel with the nations.

items will be accepted beginning Sunday, April 8.

Saturday April 28 9-12pm. $10 donation/car. All proceeds
benefit Eastmont missions.
Recycling for Missions
Please note we are no longer collecting printer ink for
recycling purposes. We will still accept donations of
cellphones however (no chargers, please).

Timothy Time Needs Disciple Makers
We need adults to come join our disciple-making team
for preschoolers & children. Sunday nights at 5 PM from

Bus Drivers Needed
We are in need of 2 people to help with our Sunday
morning bus ministry. This ministry involves driving
an Eastmont bus to provide transportation on Sunday
morning for residents at assisted living facilities. You
would only need to drive once every 7 to 8 weeks,
depending on how many volunteers we have. If you are
interested or want more information, please contact Karen
Bush in the church office.
