District.
I am confident that I would be a positive fit for the Madison School district as my educational philosophy and
practice coincide with the principles set forth by the district. I am committed to developing the critical thinking
skills of all learners, ensuring rigor throughout curricula and presenting lessons that are both engaging and
motivating. I am an adherent of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) as the foundation for
managing student behavior both inside and outside the classroom.
I have enjoyed the benefits of collaboration over the past nine months teaching at a school with a strong
commitment to Professional Learning Communities. During Teacher Collaboration Time I became well-versed in
analyzing data and using the information to drive instruction that is strategic, rigorous and selective in its use of
Kagan cooperative learning structures.
I am a reflective teacher who is dedicated to ongoing professional development. In addition to my college courses
and student teaching I studied various forms of technology to enhance communication, recordkeeping and
instructional delivery in the classroom, Methods and Strategies for teaching Geography, Cloze Reading, PBIS,
ELL strategies in the classroom and was an active member of my school’s Climate Committee.
