I am very excited to inform you that our
entire Golf Shop Staff will be returning in
2018! We have a wonderful team and are
looking forward to offering you the best pos-
sible service this golf season. I am looking
forward to my 2nd season as Head Golf
Professional and 11th season overall at
Southview! We have a lot to be excited about
this year including some great new merchan-
dise, improved programming and themed

PGA Assistant Golf Professional
Will Dretsch
Will Dretsch, Lead Assistant Golf Profes-
sional, will again be handling a majority of
the golf instruction. He will be offering
numerous clinics this upcoming season
including: Titleist Short Game Schools,
Clinics & Cocktails, Pre-Season Junior
After School Clinics, as well as new offerings
which are highlighted in this newsletter! He
will continue to oversee the Men’s League
again this season!

Professional, will be back for this second
year at Southview. In addition to com-
peting in Minnesota PGA Events quite
often, Scott will be overseeing the 18-Hole
Women’s League as well as adding a new
themed twist to our Couples 9 & Dine
events!

Willem Dohne
Willem Dohne, Assistant Golf
Professional, will make his return from
the warm winter in Tempe, Arizona where
he worked at Kokopelli Golf Club. Wil-
lem passed his Playing Ability Test late
last summer and is beginning the PGA
Program to eventually become a PGA
Member! He will be in the golf shop full
time this season at Southview!

the member surveys from last
season, the Board has made
the following changes with
the intent to contribute to ev-
eryone’s experience at South-
view.
Cart Traffic
Directional Stakes
New this year are brown
stakes with green caps similar
to the ones in the picture be-
low. These stakes are in place
to direct our golf cart traffic on
and off cart paths and around
tee boxes and greens. If all
golf carts follow the direc-
tional stakes we will be able to
keep our golf carts away from
wet areas or worn out areas
and help keep our golf course
in consistent condition. The

to spread out the daily cart
traffic. While in your golf cart

planned, filled with instruction and fun for all ages and skill levels. Dust

Junior Golf Camps
Nicklaus Tour (6-8 years old) This is an
introduction to the game and will be
focused on the younger juniors. The
Nicklaus Tour’s purpose is to create
an interest in the game of golf in a fun,
non-competitive, friendly manner.

Hogan Tour (9-13 years old) The Hogan
