I. Introduction

The role of perception in our lives is to interpret experience, but there is no way of knowing for
sure how much our interpretation conforms to physical reality. People these days aren’t aware
of their own or others’ state, if they are normal or not. That’s why the researcher chose this
topic; to spread awareness of the impact of having an Asperger’s Syndrome.

As soon as we meet a person we make judgments about them. From their facial expression,
tone of voice, appearances and body language we can usually tell whether they are happy,
angry or sad and respond accordingly.

People with Asperger’s syndrome can find it harder to read the signals that most of us take for
granted. This means they find it more difficult to communicate and interact with others which
can lead to high levels of anxiety and confusion.

Asperger’s syndrome (AS) is a neurobiological disorder that is part of a group of conditions

called autism spectrum disorders. The term "autism spectrum" refers to a range of
developmental disabilities that includes autism as well as other disorders with similar
characteristics.

Asperger's syndrome is a form of autism - it is a developmental disorder that impacts on the

individual's ability to communicate and socialize, among other things. It begins in childhood and
persists through adulthood and affects the way the person reaches "common sense"
perceptions, as well as the way they process information related to other individuals. People
with Asperger's syndrome find human interaction challenging, and may interpret creative
thought and use their imagination in different way from others.

Boys are more than three to four times more likely than girls to be affected by AS. Because
milder cases are being identified more frequently, the incidence appears to be increasing.
However, like other autism spectrum disorders, AS is often difficult to diagnose and treat.
II. Statement of the Problem

This study aimed to answer the following questions:

1) Could Asperger's Syndrome be inherited?

2) How Does Asperger's Syndrome affect learning?

3) Can the person develop normal relationships?

4) How do people deal with it?

5) How does autism affect behavior?

6) Why do more boys than girls develop it?

III. Significance of the Study

This study of Asperger’s syndrome can make people aware of the impact of having it. This study
will also provide brief description on the system of people with Asperger’s syndrome.

To people without Asperger’s Syndrome, they’ll be informed on how to bear with people with
this kind of Syndrome or disorder.

To people with Asperger’s Syndrome, they’ll reminded on the things to do how to deal with it.
And eventually, they’ll get motivated and inspired to pursue life and to just let it flow.

IV. Scope and Delimitation

This study focuses on how Asperger’s Syndrome affects learning & behavior; on how to deal
with it; and on why do more boys develop it than girls. This study also concentrates if people
with AS can develop normal relationships and if it could be inherited.
