Exercise 1 Look at the map and write 10 questions and sentences

using there was/there were.
Example: Was there a bank in beside the park?

No, there wasn’t. There was a bank next to the department store.

1. Was there beauty shop in front of the dental clinic?

Yes, it is
2. Why do you think is important the fire station is near the park?.
It is important because if there is a fire in a green area they can save the
park.
3. Is the bookstore near to the hospital?
No, it is too far away.
4. Is the library near to your apartment?
No it is a little bit far from my apartment.
5. What places are your favorites?
Mines are the arcade and the barber shop.
6. Do you think the gas station is important?
Yes, because if we don’t have gas we won’t be able to ride our car.
7. How many places were there that started with B?
Beauty salon, bookstore, barber shop, bank, bus stop, and a bakery.
8. How many hospitals where there?
There was just one.
9. How many cars where there?
4 cars, 1 police car, and 2 fire trucks.
10. What do you think is better the arcade or the park?
