Cryptex Trading Course Syllabus

Requirements: ​Prospective students will need to have Discord, Zoom, and an Email Address.
Discord​ is a free voice and text chat program that works on both desktop and mobile
platforms. The Cryptex Trading Course is conducted and organized on the Cryptex Discord and
students will need to join to stay in touch with the instructor, students, and other traders.
Zoom​ is a free program used for modern enterprise video communications through a
reliable, easy to use platform. Zoom is used for video and audio conferencing, chat, and
webinars. The Trading Course is conducted on live screen sharing sessions through Zoom due
to its features and convenience.
Email​ Each class will be recorded in case students are absent. Prospective students will
need to provide their email address in order to gain access to the recorded sessions throughout
the course.

 
 

Overview
Welcome to Cryptex Advanced Trading Course. This is an interactive
course and requires little or no previous trading knowledge. The curriculum is
structured to accommodate all traders of any skill-set, and is separated into four
sections: Crypto 101, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Trading.

Each class will be conducted via live screen sharing sessions. Students
attending are able to follow along and interact with the instructor, students, and
attending graduates. Sometimes there will be other advanced traders attending
the class to share their perspective. Every class will be recorded if a prospective
student cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

Prospective students will be able to choose to attend select sections of the


course based on their own perceived skill set. Once you have been included into
the attendance roll for future classes you will be given the ‘Student’ role in the
Cryptex Discord. Upon completion of the entire course you will be given the
‘Graduate’ Role. Graduates are always welcome to attend any class session at
any time without making additional payments.

This is no doubt one of the most exciting times to be involved in


cryptocurrency. Every day the total market cap tends to increase exponentially as
the public is starting to catch on to what blockchain technology can do for the
future. Mainstream adoption is causing impulsive price volatility and creating the
opportunity of a lifetime to make a ridiculous amount of money. Whether you are
a beginner or an expert, this course will surely help you make the best out of this
opportunity and provide you with invaluable skills you can utilize forever!
 

Upon completion of this course, you should:

● Become a consistently profitable trader based on a minimal-loss strategy.


● Understand the trading terminology, you should be able to trade and hang with
the best of them.

are best applicable.

able to even make forecasts of what the market will do WEEKS in advance.
● Never rely on what others are doing, you will be able to make a trading plan and
execute it. Other traders will become interested in what you’re doing and they
might even think you have a crystal ball!
● Understand what NOT to do, dispose any bad habits you may have, and develop
good habits that will surely help you be profitable.
● Gauge the best time to take profits in the most successful way.
● Decide which types of trade setups or investments you’ll take and ignore the rest
of the noise.
● Learn to survive first, THEN thrive when you feel comfortable trading.

Course Sections
Crypto 101:
Crypto 101 section is dedicated to the bare bone basics of cryptocurrency. If you
are new to cryptocurrency and need a good, clear foundation, then this section is for
you!
● Price- $25.00.
○ Prince includes: (2) Two hour classes completed in one week.
Beginner Trading:
Beginner Trading section is dedicated to the basics and will quickly accelerate
into advanced trading topics. Information in this section is certainly the most valuable
aspect in the entire course. Topics presented in this section are often overlooked and
taken for granted by most traders.
● Price- $75.00.
○ Prince includes: (3) Three hour classes completed in one week.
Intermediate Trading:
Intermediate Section is dedicated to Technical Analysis (TA) and hands-on
learning. Trading strategies, graph mechanics, and important aspects of reading charts
will be given extra emphasis. Students will begin to do TA for themselves and
constructive criticism will be given to help them hone in on their skills moving forward.

○ Prince includes: (3) Three hour classes completed in one week.
Advanced Trading:
Advanced Trading section is dedicated to advanced TA that many traders do not
understand how to implement in practice. By the end of the course students should feel
confident in creating a trading plan and executing it accordingly.

Instructor’s note: ​This section is dedicated to the bare bone basics
of cryptocurrency.

● Getting setup on exchanges and how to use them
○ The difference in centralized and decentralized exchanges
○ Walkthrough of how to use a popular exchange; placing
ask/bids, stop losses, stop buys, market/limit orders, and a basic

Beginner Section
Instructor’s note: ​The Beginner section has information even seasoned
traders often overlook and take for granted.

Money Management: ​Understand the importance of calculated risk


taking

● Understanding bubbles in markets


● Risk/Reward; How to properly determine risk in a volatile and
unpredictable environment.
● Long Term vs. Short Term Strategies
● Be proactive; Anything can happen and things move quickly.
● USD/BTC/Altcoin Comparison; Develop a strategy to out-trade the
growth of bitcoin
● Understand price-action in Bitcoin (Satoshis) compared to USD.

Mental Game: ​Most of being a profitable trader is primarily mental. 90%


of traders lose money because they are not able to master controlling their
own emotions. The mental game is one of the least appreciated aspects of
trading and sets the peak performers apart from everyone else.

● Learn the Necessary Trading Mindset


● Controlling Emotions; The market will bring out the best and worst in
you.
● Leave your ego aside
● How FOMO-trading can ruin your profits quickly

factors that contribute to the group's overall investing mentality or sentiment.

● Think like a contrarian, do the opposite of what the public does
● How to read the market’s physiological state
● How market psychology drives technical indicators
● The constant argument between bears and bulls. Understand which
are in control, when they agree, and disagree.
● Buy the rumor, sell the news!
● Know the risk of making positions based on big news events
● Coaching through your investment process

Introduction to Fundamental Analysis:


● Checklist for analyzing cryptocurrencies and ICOs
● How to determine if a cryptocurrency is undervalued or overvalued.
● Understanding market cap, circulating supply, max supply, and how to
determine realistic price action comparative to these fundamentals.
● The difference in a currency, asset, token, and all unique
cryptocurrencies and their ambitious projects
● What makes a project unique, and how to spot a project that claims to
be unique that's not.
● Determining the quality and size of a community behind a particular
project and how this plays into market sentiment.

Introduction to Trading Strategies:

needs
● Introduction to trading terminology and jargon
● Introduction to some popular trading indicators
● Explanation of how to understand live data, order-books, market depth

● Breakout Trading (Mid-term swing trading)
● Accumulation, Scalping, Arbitrage, Hedging (Short-term day trading)
Minimum-loss trading strategy and the importance of position sizing.

This will conclude the Beginner Trading section of the course


 

Intermediate Trading Section


Instructor’s note: ​Trading strategies, graph mechanics, and important
aspects of reading charts will be given extra emphasis.

Technical Analysis (TA):


● Price action and volume structure
● Range Bound and Trending Markets
● Graph Mechanics
● How to determine price trends using trend lines
● Using indicators; Determining confluence when multiple indicators
point to buying or selling, and when they can possibly fake you out.
Using a multitude of indicators can give a trader a very powerful edge
if they know what to look for. (You will learn that indicators are not
trading signals rather than useful tools.)
● Understanding Market Cycles
○ Accumulation, Markup, Distribution, and mark-down phases
○ What to look for during these 4 market phases.
○ Wyckoff Method
● How patterns form and what to look for when trading them
● Trend Patterns
○ Continuation
○ Reversals
○ Knowing when they are bullish or bearish
● Candlestick patterns
● Finding patterns in indicators

○ Golden cross, Death cross, Convergence, Divergence, etc.

● Identifying the rules and conditions of common trend patterns

● How to find trend patterns in charts, understand when they will most
likely breakout or continue to consolidate and form a different pattern
● Understand false breakouts, price suppression, market pump and
dumps, consolidation periods

This will conclude the Intermediate Trading section of the course.


 

Advanced Trading Section


Instructor’s note: ​Advanced Trading section is dedicated to advanced TA
that not many traders understand. The remainder of this course will also be
dedicated to creating a in depth trading plan and forecast.

Advanced Technical Analysis (TA):


● Tips in getting started with Advanced TA
● Understanding the nature of volume during certain periods of market
cycles
● Properly measuring price action and time cycles
● Mastering the Fibonacci tools
● Elliott Wave Theory and Fractals
○ Impulse wave (12345)
○ Correction wave (ABC)
○ Double Combo Wave (WXY)
○ Tripple Combo Wave (WXYXZ)
○ Triangle Waves
● Understanding the rules and guidelines of the elliott wave principle
● Reiterating the rules of trend patterns
○ Knowing when the best time to enter and exit the market for
breakout trading
○ Understanding how patterns form in conjunction to the elliott
wave principle
■ Diagonals
■ Triangles
■ Leading and Ending Diagonals
■ Flats
■ Reversals
○ Spotting the key differences between a pullback and a reversal
(Correction)
○ Differentiating between a correction and a recovery, knowing
when to spot the key times they take place
○ Understanding that some patterns may look like a pattern, but if
they do not appear at the right time then they are invalid
● Creating a forecast for your trading plan
● Using charting tools on an advanced level
 
● Searching for ideal accumulation zones before big impulsive moves
happen in the market
● Doing your due diligence on signals, knowing the difference in a hyped
pump and dump signal and key things to look at for natural market
growth

Collaboration Days:
The last two days of the course will be dedicated to collaboratively
chart cryptocurrencies in the market together. Charting markets together
gives the instructor a good idea on how to provide constructive advice to the
students moving forward after graduation. Interactiveness, cooperation and
volunteering is highly encouraged to help students hone in on their skills.
During these ‘collaboration days’ students are required to submit a clear in
depth trading plan for review. Student’s trading plan will need to be
approved by the instructor in order to receive the ‘graduate’ role on Cryptex
Discord. If a student’s trading plan is not approved, extra tutoring will be
provided to help them get up to par. Graduates will have access to our
‘Research Center’ in Cryptex Discord and should be considered a part of our
advanced trading group.

This will conclude the Advanced Trading section of the course.
