To Whom It May Concern,

I have had the opportunity to work with Joanna Sigmon since the 2014-
2015 school year as her teammate and mentor. It has been both a pleasurable
and positive experience for myself, the other faculty members, and all of the third
grade students. Joanna has worked with 20 - 25 students ages 8 to 9 during her
tenure as a third grade teacher at Buies Creek Elementary School. She has
demonstrated numerous strengths as a beginning teacher: flexibility,
compassion, perseverance, kindness, and strength! Any district would be
honored to have her as a teacher!

Ms. Sigmon is a dedicated professional who has earned the respect of not
only myself, but her students and the community. She is capable of preparing
creative and enjoyable lessons that meet the varied needs of students. She is
knowledgeable about the concepts she teaches and is constantly evaluating and
reflecting after each lesson. She is willing and able to adapt her lessons on short
notice. Ms. Sigmon is always eager to learn new teaching techniques and
enthusiastic about what she is teaching.

Ms. Sigmon has wonderful classroom management skills. She is fair and
consistent with her expectations. She always has a positive attitude with the
students and when necessary, disciplines with reason and love. Ms. Sigmon’s
students realizes that she loves them from day one in her class, but they also
realize they must not only met her expectations, but EXCEED her expectations
while in her classroom by listening, cooperating, working, and learning as a
TEAM!!!

I would highly recommend Ms. Joanna Sigmon be hired as a teacher

within your district. She is the kind of teacher that welcomes any type of student
into her classroom no matter their background. She is able to find the best in all
children; which in turn allows learning to happen 110% everyday they are in her
classroom! I am confident that she will provide the same level of commitment to
education and teaching in your district that she showed during her teaching
