1. Choose and describe an aspect from a teaching competency that you need to work on (Goal)
MST is using the lining up strategy for the transition which is helpful to avoid any accident. I
would like to use this strategy to organize the students and to be prepared.
2. Describe what you will do to help achieve your goal (Strategies Used)
Use songs that are specified for moving from group to another.
3. Describe how you can tell if you’re achieving your goal (Evidence)
- I used the lining up strategy to move from place to another even from area to another during
the activities. It was usful and it helped in organizing the students and to move easily.

Reflection 1: (Shapes on the seashore story-Shapes)
Before I start reading the story, I sang a song with them which was: "If are you
ready for the story raise your hand," and they were singing with me because they
used to sing it before every story and they were engaged with me. Besides, I remind
them about the rules which are; Eyes on the teacher, don't talk while the teacher is
talking and if you want to answer you have to raise your hand. The rules were new to
them, but they understood them. Also, I used the song for hem while moving from
group to another by lining up which was better and appropriate to avoid accidents
but they need more to practice on this strategy because it is new for them. I dived the
students for the activities according to their level (High, Medium and Low), to work
in different corners which I found it better and appropriate rather than letting them
all in the same place. Also, it will enhance their skills according to their levels.
What made me very happy and proud of the students, they only read the story once
with their teacher before one week, and they still remember the shapes and the sea
creatures which was great and helped me a lot to let them be engaged. Furthermore,
shapes on their faces if they answered right and it worked with them, and they all
were raising their hands even if they do not know they want to be rewarded.
According to Skinner, he believes that: "Positive reinforcement strengthens a
Simply Psychology, 2012). This mean, using the positive reinforcement will keep the
students engaged and participate with the teacher to be rewarded. The word "Spiral"
Some students who are; Rashied, Ahmed and Alreem, rebaiting "Me teacher" instead
of raising their hands and I asked them more than three times to stop saying that and
they should raise their hands, but the kept saying it. Next lesson, I think I will use the
I-message strategy by saying: "I like the way that Alia is raising her hands, I will be
happy if Rashied, Ahmed, and Alreem do like her" which will let them do like Alia to
