Air pollution comes from many sources like factories and cars. These produce smoke. These pollutions carry They are then more prone to insect infestations and discoloration of the leaves. It lastly can kill the plants'
chemicals that are harmful to plants. The chemicals include: roots. Cigarette smoke positively affects plants beuacse it can make it respire as it emits carbon dioxide

dioxide and water into oxygen and sugar. The carbon dioxide, which is found in the smoke can be "exchanged"
for oxygen from the plant. This process is called photosynthesis. Smoke can also help the plant grow. Smoke
also has tiny little particles that cling to a surface or in this case the leaves of the plant, and it can change the

stomata, which then stuns its growth.

Smoke affects plants by damaging, or helping the plant grow. Smoke from cigarettes can help a plant grow
because of the carbon dioxide  in it.
But it can also damage plants because of the chemicals and other gases the smoke carries. It can wilt the
plant, and affect its physical growth. But some house plants can be effective lters for the smoke and gases.

1.) Dirt that the pollution carries, can cover the surface of a leaf. This will cause a reduction in Photosynthesis.
2.) Smoke covers the Stomata of the plant which slows down the growth of the plant because if the Stomata
was covered, it will be hard for the cells to reproduce.
3.) The smoke adds carbon dioxide which the plants breathe, they then exchange it with cleaner oxygen.
4.) When it covers the leaf, it can make the color darker due to having dirt.

How does smoke affect plants?
Smoke can affect plants in both good and bad ways. Combustion of different materials means that there is an
increase in carbon dioxide which is what plants take in this. 
Bad smoke like the smoke particles that we see are bad for the plants because it coats the leaves of the plant
preventing it for properly receiving sunlight.
The smoke is also bad for us aswell and can damage our lungs if we are exposed to it to much or to long. But
that is why we have plants which cleanse the air so that we take in good and healthy air.
