2. GEZC Modbus Configuration

Attention: Need to configure Modbus with:


- No. Stop bit = 1
- Protocol = RTU (8 data bits)

4. Using Multinet Setup Program
Steps:
1) Get an available Ethernet line
2) Use a computer to acquire IP
address, subnet mask, and
Gateway by openning the
Command Prompt and enter
“ipconfig”
3) Unplug the Ethernet line from
computer
4) Connect the Ethernet line to
Multinet FE
5) Use the information in step 2 to
download to the Multinet (see Fig
on the right).
6) MAC address can be found on the
label of the Multinet device.
7) Click Read
8) Click Ping
9) Click Save to save settings

5. EnerVista Viewpoint Setup

Steps:
1) Modbus Port must be #502
2) Choose Device Type as “Others”
3) Enter Order Code as “MX150” or
“MX250”
4) Select Version
5) Check “Plug and Play Enabled”
6) Check “Time Download
Enabled”
7) Click “Test Communication”
8) Click OK to save parameters if
LED shows green.

Step 1: Enter IP address and click OK Step 2: Select Function Code and click SEND

9. Troubleshooting

• Perform local 1-to 1 test between computer and Modbus using 50P-1111 Rev1_8
(Modbus Configuration Software)

• Make sure RTU and 1-stop bit

• Check wire polarity (make sure ‘+’ and ‘-’ are connected correctly)

• Dynamic IP address changed – Suggest to use static IP address

• Using GEZC Multinet FE Software to query controller if needed
