System Dynamics is a new subject for us and is part of the new curriculum. I learned many new things, ideas and knowledge about this subject. System Dynamics also helps us realize or know that there is a software that can predict or forecast the sustainability, profitability and many more. System Dynamics also helps us to analyze things that is more complex and what factors can affect the other factors or shall we say how these factors interrelated and interconnected to each other and I was also amazed that in the software called STELLA if we put interventions to the factors we can directly and absolutely see the result. Defining System Dynamics, it is an approach to understanding and modeling the behavior of complex systems over time. It deals with internal feedback loops and time delays that affect the behavior of the entire system. Another thing that I learned is that the basis of the method is the recognition that the structure of any system the many circular, interlocking, sometimes time- delayed relationships among its components. is often just as important in determining its behavior as the individual components themselves. What makes using system dynamics different from other approaches to studying complex systems is the use of feedback loops and stocks and flows. Part of System Dynamics learning is the decision making. Effective decision making and learning in a world of growing dynamic complexity requires new skills and tools to understand the structure of complex systems and their behavior. The field of systems thinking, and the development of systems dynamics modeling was created to address this need and has today become an important part of business analytics and management decision making. After defining our subject System Dynamics, we have this common goal, we have to know what the main goal or objective in learning system dynamics with is our ever-supportive instructor who is always there to guide us in making the System and helping us step by step in using the STELLA software. The goal of system dynamics modeling is to improve our understanding of the ways in which an organization’s performance is related to its internal structure and operating policies, including those of customers, competitors, and suppliers and then to use that understanding to design high leverage policies for success. Systems dynamics models have been used to represent everything from very tangible bottom-line variables like inventory, profit, and cash, to very qualitative variables like trust, customer loyalty, and morale. It is this ability to represent, model, and analyze the interaction and impact of the qualitative variables in systems, business, and the economy that has set systems dynamics apart from all other analytical decision support techniques. Yet, very few people are familiar with it, much less understand the basics of what it is and where it can be applied. System dynamics has found application in a wide range of areas, for example population, ecological and economic systems, which usually interact strongly with each other. System dynamics have various "back of the envelope" management applications. They are a potent tool to: Teach system thinking reflexes to persons being coached. Analyze and compare assumptions and mental models about the way things work. Gain qualitative insight into the workings of a system or the consequences of a decision. Recognize archetypes of dysfunctional systems in everyday practice. Computer software is used to simulate a system dynamics model of the situation being studied. Running "what if" simulations to test certain policies on such a model can greatly aid in understanding how the system changes over time. System dynamics is very similar to systems thinking and constructs the same causal loop diagrams of systems with feedback. However, system dynamics typically goes further and utilizes simulation to study the behaviour of systems and the impact of alternative policies. I am so grateful, happy and blessed that I learned so many things how these things or factors actually working together. I will not be able to discover new things without the support and guidance of our supportive instructor who is there to enlighten us and give us these positive vibes and feeling even if we can not run the system and eventually run it. Thank you Engr. Elvielyn Nakila this would not be possible without you mam. And we will cherish all this learning and maybe we can share this learnings, ideas and knowledge to other people that is also interested in this field.
