Functional Spec Feedback on Team 2

Introduction:
 In section 1.4, the product scope does not clearly clarify the use case of the product.
Consider revising the other use situations so the reader can understand how it relates to
its main purpose.
 Focus the product scope more towards the product and what it can do rather than it use
cases.
 Please clarify if the device only prints entire humans or if it can additionally print the
organs.
 The out of scope portion of section 1.4 is well written as it defines the limitation of the
product.

Overall Description:
 The description of the printer is not detailed enough. Please consider adding additional
information on how the printer works.
 The description of the printer should include details of what components are inside the
printer and how it works.
o The example of how you describe the scanner is a good model to replicate when
describing how the printer function works.

 Section 2.3, user classes and characteristic, was well done. It better clarified the scope of
the product by defining potential users. The detail and background information allowed
us to visualize use cases for the product.

System Features/ Functions

 When describing printing along the XYZ axis, consider adding what it takes for the print
head to be out of spec.
o It would be useful to also describe how to calibrate the printer
 For the 3D printer nozzle and Hopper, use measurable amounts to describe when the
product is in spec. This will give clarity for how the product works and function.
 When describing the backup generator describe how much power it can supply to the
printer and how different cases affect use time.
 It is good how you used known measurements and standards to describe different features
of the device.
 Give better description of what G code is. The section does not clarify what it is and how
it affects printing
 Overall the systems and features gave a better image of what the product is and how it
functions.
Final opinions:
 Consider rewriting your product scope to link in more of the features and functions.
 Add more detail to you description of how the printer works and fix the chart
accordingly.
 Add more detail to know when the product is in spec and is good to use when describing
it features and functions. When doing so, label with definable metrics
