SITE CHARACTERIZATION

RINA Consulting offers a full range of marine and terrestrial geoscience services. Our team performs all site
characterization required to carry out design of engineered facilities and mitigate project risks. We deal with the
existing site environment: the earth on which the facility will be based, the sea or air with which the structure will
interact, and external environmental events which may affect the project (earthquakes, landslides, floods, windstorms,
faults, tsunami etc.).

NEARSHORE SURVEYS - MOZAMBIQUE LNG

Client: Eni East Africa

Location: Palma, Mozambique
Scope of Work: ENI East Africa is developing a LNG facility in northern Mozambique. RINA Consulting performed
“nearshore” surveys for the jetty, marine offloading facility and pipeline landfall.

Scope of Work: BP is developing WND deepwater fields offshore Egypt. Subsea 7 and OneSubsea will supply and
install the subsea equipment / pipelines. Seismicity and soft soil conditions made earthquake design a significant issue.
RINA Consulting provided: Probabilistic Seismic Hazard Assessment (PSHA), site response analysis, accelerograms
and soil-structure interaction for manifolds and flowlines. We performed dynamic analysis and seismic verifications
of the manifolds.

TURKSTREAM GEOHAZARD ASSESSMENT

Scope of Work: 1200 km long deepwater gas pipeline crossing the Black Sea:

NAWARA CONCESSION HSE

Client: ABB / Enereco / Max Streicher - Bouchammoui JV

Location: Tunisia
Scope of Work: OMV is constructing a new gas processing facility in the Nawara concession. The project comprises
a Central Processing Facility (CPF) and flowlines, approximately 380 km of export pipelines and final Gas Treatment
Plant (GTP) to treat 2.7 MMScmd. Three EPC contractors are performing the work. RINA Consulting is responsible
for the entire scope of HSE activities for the project, including all risk analyses, safety engineering activities, task
force HSE management and hazard identification workshops.

MAIN PROJECT

STATOIL KDD OIL SANDS CORNER PROJECT - SAFETY AND RISK STUDIES
Client: Saipem Canada and Statoil
Location: Canada
Scope of Work: Project comprises flowlines, Central Processing Facility (CPF), water supply and utility systems.
RINA Consulting performed all risk analyses: QRA (Quantitative Risk Assessment), DAL (Design Accidental Loads)
specification, BRA (Building Risk Assessment), Hazard and Operability studies (HAZOP) and Safety Requirements

LOANGO FIELD FURTHER DEVELOPMENT PROJECT - FEED PHASE

Location: Congo
Scope of Work: RINA Consulting developed HSE activities for FEED of offshore platforms, including: Escape
Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA), ship impact, Fire and Explosion Risk Analysis (FERA), Quantitative Risk
Analysis (QRA), dropped object, HAZID, HAZOP and SIL. We developed hazardous area classification and relative
plot plan, firewater demand calculation and firefighting system design, UFD and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation
Diagrams) of firefighting system.

POTASSIUM SULPHATE PLANT PROJECT - HSE CONSULTANCY AND SAFETY DESIGN

Client: Desmet Ballestra (DBI)
Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Scope of Work: DBI performed EPC for the Potassium Sulphate Production (SOP) Plant, installed at Umm Wu’al
site in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on behalf of Ma’aden Wa’ad Al Shamal Phosphate Company (MWSPC). RINA
Consulting provided HSE support throughout the project development, tackling HSE client needs and including the
following services: HAZID and HAZOP Chairmanship, 3D model review participation, SIL assessment and verification
calculations, FERA and EERA studies, Fire engineering activities (including Active and Passive Fire Protection reports,

CFD MODELLING - CRUISE SHIP LNG FUEL SYSTEM

Client: Meyer Werft GmbH & Co.KG

Location: Papenburg, Germany
Scope of Work: Meyer Werft will produce the first LNG-Powered cruise ship in the world. RINA Consulting utilized
advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to assess risk and consequences of LNG release. Release
scenarios were modelled with FLUENT. The analysis considered effects of geometry, wakes, eddies, recirculation and
stagnation points for the dispersion of gas in the enclosures of the cruise ship.

METOCEAN STUDIES - PREFEASIBILITY AND BASE DESIGN

Client: Eni E&P
Location: Mozambique
Scope of Work: Metocean studies for LNG terminal port and marshalling yard. Site screening: bathymetry, location
of coral reef, fetch, offshore / nearshore wave climate and tide hindcasts. Detailed characterisation: wind/wave time
series, typical and extreme conditions, nearshore wave propagation, analysis of storm tracks, P gradients, tropical
cyclones, and sediment transport.

MANUVERABILITY STUDY - PORT QASIM LNG TERMINAL

Client: Engro Elengy Terminal Ltd / Shell / Fatima
Location: Pakistan
Scope of Work: Engro Elengy is developing a new LNG Regas Terminal in Port Qasim. An FSRU with double
bank arrangement and ship-to-ship transfer via cryogenic hoses will be used. RINA Consulting assessed vessel
manuverability using a Full Bridge Real Time Simulator. Results we input for a quantitative risk assessment of the
facility.

LOGISTICS AND FINANCIAL SIMULATIONS - LNG DISTRIBUTION

Client: PLN Enjiniring for PT PLN (Persero)
Location: Central Indonesia
Scope of Work: PT PLN (Persero) plans to supply LNG to 21 Dual-Fuel Power Plants in scattered across the islands
of Central Indonesia. RINA Consulting identified the best technical/commercial solution to receive, distribute, store
and regas the LNG. Activities: desktop site characterization (metocean, bathymetry), logistic study optimize fleet
composition and paths, preliminary design of LNG Regas Plants, and financial study to establish expected Regas
tariff.

FEASIBILITY STUDY - PANAMA CANAL LNG TERMINAL

Client: Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (ACP)
Location: Panama
Scope of Work: Panama Canal expansion increased capacity for large LNG vessels and volumes of global LNG traffic.
To capitalize on this opportunity, ACP plans to develop new LNG infrastructure. Feasibility study assessed potential
for LNG Terminal and use of LNG as a fuel source for power generation, ACP tugs and dredges, vessels transiting
the Canal and industrial applications. Study addressed market, siting, technical, institutional, legal, regulatory and
environmental issues.

COLD EYE REVIEW - CORAL FLNG

Client: ENI E&P
Location: Mozambique
Scope of Work: ENI is developing deepwater gas reserves in Mozambique. First production system will be Coral FLNG
and associated subsea infrastructure. EPC contracts were awarded for three packages: vessel / risers / flowlines,
subsea production systems and the umbilicals. RINA Consulting performed a cold eye review of all three packages.
A gap analysis of the interfaces between the three EPC contractors insured that all aspects of design were correctly
covered.

DETAILED DESIGN - GORGON LNG PROJECT

Scope of Work: Detailed design of foundations for six Subsea Distribution Units (SDU). Activities included: SDU
foundation general arrangement, structural analysis of lifting, sea transportation, and lowering; structural analysis of
operating (in-place) condition with earthquake loads, seafastening design, FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) procedure
and erection phases study.

Scope of Work: The OCTP project consists of a subsea production system with dedicated FPSO and export pipeline.
We performed FEED of several components, and now supply PMC for FSPO and subsea:

PENCO - LIRQUÉN LNG IMPORT TERMINAL

Client: GNL Penco S.p.A. / a joint venture of EDF / AME and Cheniere
Location: Chile
Scope of Work: An offshore FSRU will receive, store and regasify LNG. A 2.5 km submarine pipeline will transport the
gas to shore. RINA Consulting were owner’s engineer for FSRU tender, reviewing technical specs, creating scoring
model, bidder technical evaluation, terminal compatibility and support in contract negotiation. Currently we are PMC
reviewing detailed design of the FSRU, supervising the construction activities in HHI Shipyard (South Korea) and
commissioning on site.

VAL D’AGRI OIL FIELD

Client: ENI Distretto Meridionale, Bonatti
Location: Italy
Scope of Work: Val D’Agri oil field was discovered in 1991 and began production in 1996. Production is about 85,000
barrels per day. RINA Consulting started PMC for the project in 2010. Activities include HSE supervision, construction
management, reporting and commissioning supervision (DBN2). We maintained a resident team of engineers and
supervisors on site. Peak staffing levels reaching 120 during shutdown and DBN2 activities. We also provide HSE and
asset integrity to ENI and Bonatti.

MLE GAS PROCESSING FACILITY

Client: Sonatrach (SH) and First Calgary Petroleum Ltd (FCP)
Location: Algeria
Scope of Work: RINA Consulting performed PMC, with peak staffing of 88 persons on site. Activities included:

RINA Consulting provided a team of 20 persons, integrated within Client’s organisation providing: technical support
for basic engineering, PMT Support (QA/QC, planning, cost control, procurement, environment), PMC during FEED,
technical support in the bid phase, PMC during EPC phase, construction supervision during construction and
commissioning for all refinery units.

Scope of Work: Nord Stream crosses the Baltic from, Russia to Germany. RINA Consulting provides O&M engineering
for onshore facilities. Responsibilities: maintenance audits for material performance and MMS, selection of Russian
warehouse, management procedures, warehouse modifications, CMMS, yearly evaluation of materials storage status,
material preservation, stock monitoring, warehousing storage and spare parts, technical specifications for tenders
and expediting for supplies.

ZUBAIR OIL FIELD

Client: ENI Iraq BV / South Oil Co. / EMC / Samsung Engineering / Weir
Location: Iraq
Scope of Work: Zubair is restoring existing facilities and adding new plant. RINA Consulting supplies O&M engineering
and asset integrity management. For existing plant we provide CMMS, as built updates, procurement support,
SPIR updating, cost control, corrosion assessment / management and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA). For the
new installation we provide asset register, material handling studies, RAM, RCM and RBI, spare parts optimization,
CMMS, global maintenance and inspection plan.

NGHI SON REFINERY

Client: JGC
Location: Vietnam
Scope of Work: Develop risk based inspection program, following API 581, for all the pressurized equipment in the
refinery. Activities included: corrosion analysis and material Validation, MSDs and P&IDs mark up, qualitative analysis
based on API 580 and 571, and quantitative analysis with API-compliant software; TML (Thickness Measurement
Location): identification, mark up and accessibility, and definition of inspection plan.

SHAH GAS DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Client: Tecnicas Reunidas / Saipem / Samsung Engineering / CCC
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Scope of Work: Shah Gas Development (SGD) will treat 1 bcfd of 25% H2S sour gas. RINA Consulting provided
Operability Readiness & Assurance (OR&A) services for all EPC contractors: Reliability Availability and Maintainability
(RAM) analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), CMMS, material
handling studies and Risk Based Inspection (RBI), maintenance & inspection manuals, and training delivery.

Scope of Work: The Pipeline Integrity Management system will use inspection & maintenance programs and intelligent
data analysis to extend asset useful life. We evaluated risk for offshore pipelines:

CORROSION AND NDT ENGINEERING FOR RUMAILA GAS REHABILITATION PROJECT

Client: GE Oil & Gas / General Basra Gas Company
Location: Italy / Iraq
Scope of Work: The project comprises ten gas compression stations in southern Iraq. The facilities suffered neglect
and damage from 30 years of war and sanctions. We performed: corrosion risk assessment, short term inspection
strategy, risk based inspection planning (S-RBI software), NDT & inspection specification and supervision at the site.

ADVANCED MONITORING SOLUTION FOR LAM 28 OFFSHORE FIXED PLATFORM

Client: Dragon Oil Plc
Location: Turkmenistan
Scope of Work: LAM 28 is a one of many shallow water platforms in the Caspian Sea. These structures are at or beyond
their design lives, and asset integrity management is critical. We provided: design and execution of dynamic structural
monitoring campaign to assess the platform condition during structural reinforcement, design of dynamic modelling
for each reinforcement phase and model calibration, finite element modelling for final residual life assessment.

FPSO PROCESS AND RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT AUDIT

Client: GNPC (Ghana National Petroleum Company)
Location: Accra, Ghana
Scope of Work: Process and reliability improvement audit on the FPSO KWAME NKRUMAH MV21 (Jubilee field).
Activities were in three phases: Phase I: confirm current process reliability & maintenance improvement plan was
effectively managed and carried out; Phase II: confirm that a holistic action plan to manage the asset integrity was
put in place with clearly defined accountabilities; Phase III: confirm that planning and implementation of engineering
reviews and studies.

MATERIAL SELECTION REVIEW FOR PETROCHEMICAL PLANT

Client: Infineum Italia
Location: Italy
Scope of Work: Review of materials selected for equipment, instruments and piping of the off-gas treatment plant
for the Infineum facility. The analysis focused on the assessment of compatibility between the proposed materials
and the process environment.

Scope of Work: RINA Consulting provides training services to ECU. Our scope includes design and development
of training material, competence mapping, implementation of courses, coordination of training plans, classroom
training and on-site mentoring. Training covers: exploration and reservoir geosciences, well area (drilling rigs
and equipment, drilling fluids, drilling technologies, completion engineering, work over and wireline operations),

TEMPA ROSSA - OPERATOR TRAINING

Location: Corleto Perticara / Italy / France / Qatar / Congo
Scope of Work: RINA Consulting was responsible to design, develop, implement and manage the operator-training
program for 54 operators of the new oil field “Total Oil Centre” in Corleto Perticara, Italy. After the On-Job Orientation
in Italy and in Total Training centres in France, RINA Consulting held the Classroom Training in Italy and the On Job
Training in Total refineries and Upstream Plants in France, Congo and Qatar.

HSE TRAINING OF IRAQI PERSONNEL

plan integrated with schedule of facilities development. RINA Consulting developed the training program and training
material, and provided training coordination on site and delivery of courses. Topics covered included: HSE, process,
