The conveyor belt edge tearing is mostly due to missing idlers / loosened idlers in the self-aligning idler assembly. Another reason is high belt sway due to
improper belt tension and alignment. Regular inspection and replacement of self -aligning idlers can help to avoid replacement of costly belt.
